AI GeneratedThis video presents a healthy, high-protein pancake recipe designed for weight loss and muscle building. Using only three main ingredients—eggs, beef gelatin, and collagen—these flourless and sugar-free pancakes provide a nutrient-dense alternative to traditional carb-heavy breakfasts while maintaining a restaurant-quality texture.
Here I've got delicious pancakes that can help you melt fat, build muscle, and have stable energy
all day. Most people who are trying to lose weight or stay lean think that pancakes are off the table
because they're usually a big stack of carbs, inflammatory oils, and added sugars. But these
pancakes are completely different. They're just three ingredients. They're loaded with protein.
They have no flour, no added sugar, no weird ingredients, and they come out soft, golden,
and genuinely taste like something you'd order at a restaurant. These are the only pancakes I'd eat
to stay lean and fit. So if you enjoy eating things that are indulgent but are also healthy,
then don't be silly, subscribe to Lily, and let's start cooking. The whole pancake recipe comes out
to only 320 calories and a whopping 45 grams of protein, 1 gram of carbs, and 14 grams of healthy
fats. Okay, so this recipe is three ingredients. We'll need three eggs. These are providing the
structure for our pancakes, but eggs are also super nutritious and rich in protein. We'll need
one tablespoon of beef gelatin. This helps bind everything together and gives the pancakes a bit
of that chewy, satisfying texture. Also, a little bit of gelatin goes a long way.
I got this grass-fed beef gelatin from Thrive Market several years ago, and at the pace I'm
going, it's going to take me a long time to go through it. I mostly use it to make my popular
jello recipe, and gelatin is great for the hair, skin, nails, and joints. You can find it in most
grocery stores or on Amazon nowadays, and like I said, it's one of those purchases you buy it once
and it'll last you a long time. And the last ingredient we'll need is two and a half
tablespoons of collagen. I'm using Lineage Provisions unflavored collagen, and this is
what's going to keep our pancakes light and fluffy without adding any flour. Now, you might notice
with these ingredients, your pancake itself may not come out very sweet tasting. Now, my pancakes
will be sweeter because I'm going to add in some blueberries, but you also have tons of options. So,
if you'd like to make your pancakes sweeter, you could always add in some vanilla extract,
some cinnamon or milk powder, some honey, you could add stevia if you want a sweet flavor without
adding sugar, even some espresso or coffee salt for some coffee flavored pancakes. But the only
three ingredients you need are the eggs, gelatin, and collagen. After that, go crazy. Well, hopefully
in a healthy way. So, first thing is you're going to want two bowls to separate your egg yolks from
your egg whites. And if you want more pancakes, you can always double this recipe. I'm actually
going to be doubling the recipe so my husband can have some pancake action. And now bust out
your hand mixer, which some of y'all are going to be proud I've upgraded from my previous hand mixer,
also known as the Bryce. We brought in the big guns, okay? We needed to bring those big guns in.
This guy is a freaking hand mixer. Why buy a hand mixer when you can just have a husband, huh?
How bad do you want this ice cream to look good, huh?
You guys want a good presentation on your ice cream?
I just got this during the Amazon Prime Day sale. It's the KitchenAid nine speed hand mixer. And
we're going to whip our egg whites with our hand mixer until you get stiff peaks. This is the part
that gives us that fluffy, almost souffle-like texture. And if you've never made whipped egg
whites before, just a couple tips are to make sure that there's no yolk in your egg whites. Then beat
them on high speed. Both the standard hand mixer beaters and the balloon whisk work, though the
balloon whisk usually incorporates more air so they can whip your egg whites a bit faster and
sometimes produce slightly more volume. Again, the main thing is to beat on high speed until the whites
are thick, glossy, and hold stiff peaks. And while whisking the whites, I'm going to slowly add in
I'm often asked, what's the actual difference between collagen powder and protein powder? So
from a recipe baking standpoint, collagen blends smoothly and keeps pancakes light and fluffy. If
you want to swap in protein powder, you can still make this recipe. It just may come out denser and
a little drier. So that's purely a texture call. But on the health side of things, whey and beef
protein powder are complete proteins. So they contain all nine essential amino acids your body
needs to build and repair muscle. Whereas collagen is not a complete protein, but it's naturally rich
in amino acids like glycine and proline, which your body uses to support skin, joints, tendons,
and connective tissue. So it's not that one is better than the other. They just serve different
purposes. Now in a separate bowl, I'm going to mix the egg yolks real quick. And now I'm going
to add in my gelatin and blend this together until it forms a smooth paste. This is going to be the
base of our batter. Now this is the most important part. We're going to gently fold in the egg whites
with the egg yolks. Gently is the key word. We want to keep as much air in there as possible.
If you dump it in and stir aggressively, you lose all that fluff and you end up with a flatter
pancake. All right. I wouldn't cook these pancakes on low because it's going to take forever to cook,
but I also wouldn't go all the way up to medium as it's usually too hot. So I'd go medium low.
We're going to grease our pan with anything other than canola oil or seed oils. The only reason I
have this in my house is as a YouTube prop to tell people this is naughty, naughty. It can be
very inflammatory. I wouldn't give this to my worst enemy. And so instead I'd cook with avocado oil,
coconut oil, or in our home, we do the majority of cooking with butter, ghee and tallow. This is
from lineage provisions, which it has a really nice flavor and it's a clean, stable fat to cook
with. I'm using a spoon to scoop our batter into pancake circles. And if you're trying to keep your
cake simple, then I just put your lid on the pan and cook for about five minutes on each side,
then flip it, cook it for five more minutes and you're done. But I'd like blueberry pancakes today.
So I'm going to add some blueberries into mine before I flip it. I actually started by cooking
in both a stainless steel and a ceramic pan, but honestly the stainless steel just cooked the
pancakes more even and way faster. So after the first round, I just quit using the ceramic.
And I'm going to add a bit of raw honey on top of my pancakes. This is from lineage. It's 100%
organic, raw and unfiltered with rich enzymes and nutrients fully intact. This brand lineage
provisions makes some of the best quality foods. I am particularly obsessed with their protein bars,
specifically the mixed berry protein bar. Oh my goodness is one of the best things I've ever put
in my mouth, but it's also one of the cleanest protein bars I've ever found without gums,
fillers or artificial ingredients. It's just made with real whole foods. And today's video is
sponsored by lineage provisions. All of their products are made from ingredients that your
great grandmother would recognize. And like I said, the protein bars are a 10 out of 10. They've
got meat sticks, protein powder, coffee, creatine, all sorts of foods, snacks, and drinks. You can
get 15% off of any of their products with discount code lilycane or by clicking the link in the
description lineage provisions.com slash lilycane. Now for pancake toppings, this is the maple syrup
my husband gets from Costco. He puts it in his yogurt every morning. Or if you want a lower carb
option, then I would take either some McGee or butter, melt it down and mix it with some cinnamon
pour on top. Oh yum. There's also sugar-free maple syrup options out there. I've got here these salts
like this chocolate salt, hibiscus flower salt, or even we have espresso that could be really nice
on top. I know this might sound a little wild, but even adding some balsamic vinegar on top of
the pancakes could be really yummy. Or you could do a low carb whipped cream. I saw someone online
make whipped cream using one cup heavy whipping cream, a half teaspoon stevia, and they used a
whole tablespoon of vanilla extract. Honestly, I would probably use a half a teaspoon vanilla extract.
I feel like the whole teaspoon would be quite strong. But regardless, after mixing together,
you've got whipped cream. But today I'm doing ghee, honey, and blueberries. These are soft. They are
light feeling. They are just, they melt in my mouth really. These don't taste like scrambled eggs,
and I do eat eggs every morning. And so if someone's ever bored or tired of eating nutritious
eggs, then this is a way to have them. Pancake edition. These taste just like pancakes. And if
you're trying to lose weight, but you want something delicious for breakfast,
this is definitely a must try recipe. And if you're ever missing bread, I have the most
yummy bread bun recipe. I will link that video right here and in the video description.
