Yu Menglong's Hidden Originals

The following are songs that Ariel has covered in the past. Every one of them was originally written and composed by me. Each one was born from countless sleepless nights and the deepest labor of my heart, yet they were released under someone else's name.

At the time Ariel performed these songs, she had not yet started following me. She only knew that she felt an extraordinarily deep connection with them, without understanding why.

The reason is that she was able to intuitively perceive the genuine emotions, meanings, and intentions behind my music, and express them through her interpretations—even though she herself was not consciously aware of it at the time.

Some observant viewers may have noticed that a number of popular songs from hit dramas have gradually disappeared from the official mainland Chinese entertainment channels. That is because they knew those songs were actually my original works. They were afraid the songs would continue attracting supporters to me and strengthen my influence. This was also one of the ways they tried to suppress me.

"With My Body" (以我之軀)

This song is one of the theme songs for Till the End of the Moon.

Once you understand the mission of the Dragon Clan and me, and learn about the full scope of the dark industry chains that my fellow Dragon Clan artists and I have been revealing, I believe you will gain a much deeper understanding of what I truly intended to express through this song.

"Then Let Us Stay Like This for Ten Thousand Years" (要不然我們就這樣一萬年)

Another theme song from Till the End of the Moon.

By the time I wrote this song, I had already met someone who truly loved me. But because of both my circumstances and hers, I knew we could never develop a real relationship. The only thing I could do was let that love remain before it turned to ashes. That is why the song carries such unbearable inner conflict and emotional anguish.

In many ways, both she and I were victims of the dark industry chains.

I hope that one day she will truly understand what I was trying to say through these songs, along with everything I never had the chance to tell her. If that day comes, perhaps it will repay, in some small way, what I owe her in this lifetime.

"Pearlescent Light" (珠光重曄)

This song is the theme song for The Story of Pearl Girl, starring Zhao Lusi (趙露思) and Liu Yuning (劉宇寧).

As fate would have it, one of the two lead actors had their soul rescued by the Dragon Clan, while the other's fate remains unknown after being imprisoned.

Anyone who knows my story will understand that this song is, in truth, a reflection of my own life and my understanding of the mission I came into this world to fulfill.

Among all my songs, this is the one Ariel connected with most deeply.

"Only Wish" (惟願)

Another theme song from The Story of Pearl Girl.

This song is, in truth, my heartfelt message to everyone in this world who genuinely loves me.

In this lifetime, I was never destined to have the freedom to pursue love or marriage. Under such circumstances, how could I dare allow myself to become deeply attached to anyone?

While I was alive, I could never tell anyone the truth about my life.

My only wish is that after I am gone, those who truly loved me—including my Lemon supporters and even those who simply admired me—will come to understand my heart: why I came into this world, why I must leave it, why I lived, and why I died.

Only then will I feel that this life was not lived in vain.

"Partial Star" (偏星)

This song is one of the theme songs for Immortal Samsara.

Those who have learned about my origins in the higher realms may notice that this song contains fragments of memories from that realm, even though I myself did not consciously recognize them when I wrote it.

In this life, I could never become a fish freely swimming across the boundless seas.

Yet I once dreamed of spending an ordinary lifetime—even if only in a dream—with the one I loved.

Life itself is but a dream.

I have already awakened, and I hope those who are connected to me will awaken as soon as possible as well.

"The Two of Us" (倆倆)

Another theme song from Immortal Samsara.

The only truly peaceful and happy period of my life came during the time I was exiled by the mainland entertainment industry and assigned to teach in rural areas.

Every sense of peace and happiness I have ever known came from that chapter of my life.

Although I knew my own love story could never have a complete ending, I still wished that all lovers in this world might one day find happiness together and enjoy lives filled with reunion and fulfillment.

"Agarwood" (沉香)

Another theme song from Immortal Samsara.

All the pain I had to suppress, every silent cry, and all my sorrow and helplessness could only truly find expression through music.

Yet I hope people will listen to this song from the perspective of someone who has already awakened, looking back at the version of me who was still dreaming.

"Chronicles of the Mortal World" (紅塵錄)

Another theme song from Immortal Samsara.

Perhaps now everyone can understand that the person portrayed in this song is the real me.

What is written in these lyrics reflects not only my own heart, but also the shared voice of every member of the Dragon Clan who descended into the human world with a mission.

When I wrote it, however, I was not consciously aware of this.

My human self had no memory of previous lifetimes.

Yet some things are engraved so deeply into one's soul that they can never truly be forgotten.
