Our Deepest Appreciation for Your Assistance in Passing
the EU Resolution on the Ongoing Persecution of Falun Gong in China

Dear honorable Members of the European Parliament,
On behalf of my family, I want to express my very deepest appreciation for your incredibly touching and remarkable efforts to free my parents from the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong in China by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)!
The resolution will not only contribute to rescuing my parents from the authoritarian regime, but will also help to end the brutal state crimes perpetrated against all Falun Gong practitioners by China’s authoritarian communist regime.
Most importantly, your courageous voices against the CCP echoed and affirmed the voices of the many kind-hearted European citizens who sent protest letters to the Chinese Embassy in Germany, as well as to the local authorities in my hometown of Rizhao in China. Your vote also echoed the voices of Falun Gong practitioners in China, who risk their lives daily to inform their fellow Chinese citizens about the true situation of the persecution of Falun Gong by the CCP.
Due to the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong by China’s communist regime, our family of three has been separated: My father is in the Rizhao City Detention Center, Shandong Province; my mother is under surveillance in our village after her release due to the rescue campaigns abroad; and I, their only child, am in Berlin.
Despite being the only child in my family, I have not been able to see my parents in person for more than 11 years. I haven’t been able to celebrate the Chinese New Year with them. We haven’t even had an opportunity to share a single meal together, or to take a family photo.
The EU Resolution on the state´s crimes against Falun Gong practitioners in China not only gives me hope that I will be reunited with my parents in the near future, but also strengthens my determination to dedicate myself to ending this incredibly brutal crime against humanity.
When I was a boy, my father always repeated a famous Chinese saying to me: “有志者事竟成 (yǒu zhì zhě shì jìng chéng)”. It means “where there's a will, there's a way”. This has helped me a lot, and especially in the days after the mass arrest of around 70 Falun Gong practitioners in my hometown of Rizhao on May 12, 2023, in which my parents were disappeared by Chinese policemen. I recalled this Chinese saying, and told myself that I would and must summon all my courage to find my parents and free them from persecution.
The resolution not only shows your tremendous support to the Falun Gong practitioners in China and abroad, but also encourages us to continue our peaceful protests to stop these brutal crimes by the world´s largest tyrannical regime. We are seeing that more and more kind-hearted and courageous people in the free world are joining the peaceful movement to end the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
The day the resolution was passed, January 18th, has become a very special day for my family. When the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China has finally come to an end, my family will remember and celebrate this special day each year.
The Chinese New Year of the Dragon will soon be here. I wish you and your family a very happy Chinese New Year full of love, hope and happiness!
May the end of the persecution of Falun Gong in China come very soon, and may the perpetrators be brought to justice in the very near future.
