From Bodyguard to Model

Jin Ze said that these children would complete their training around the age of sixteen and begin assignments. Some became spies, others were transferred into the armed police, while the military assigned him to work as a bodyguard for entertainers.

This so-called “bodyguard” role was not to protect celebrities, but to monitor them and prevent them from escaping or contacting the outside world.

But since something had happened to “his person,” an investigation was necessary.

He immediately sent people to transfer Jin Ze to a high-end private hospital for emergency treatment, and his life was eventually saved.

Afterward, the abusive modeling agent suddenly died, the entertainment company underwent a major internal reshuffle, and while recovering in hospital, Jin Ze attempted suicide again.

He truly no longer wanted to live. The official who kept him visited and asked about his wishes. Jin Ze stated that he did not want to serve as a kept lover, nor continue working in the exploitative entertainment industry.

In 2016, the entertainment company revised Zhang Jiawei’s contract, shifting his career path to that of an actor and giving him the stage name Jin Ze, allowing him to appear in television productions.

This was a concession made by the CCP official who kept him, because his daughter had fallen in love with Jin Ze.

Because of this, under the protection of the official’s daughter, Jin Ze was no longer directly kept by him. However, due to her powerful family background, their relationship could only continue in secret.

A Fatal “Love”

For Jin Ze, he had merely changed “owners.” The difference was that his new protector truly loved him, and his treatment improved dramatically compared to before.

However, this did not eliminate his desire to die. His “new protector” had no solution and could only confine him under strict surveillance to prevent any attempt at self-harm.

The high-ranking official demanded that his daughter treat Jin Ze only as a plaything and not develop real feelings, as she was already engaged and destined for a political marriage.
