To begin with I will light the candles through to the end of this year. They require me to fill in the date of birth and the date of passing. Should I put September 10 or September 11 as the date of passing? Everyone who has gone to the temple before to light candles has filled in September 11. Qiao Renliang was born on October 15, 1987 in Shanghai, China, and passed away on September 16, 2016 in Shanghai. Could Yu En please ask Long'er whether the birth and passing information I'm providing for Qiao Renliang is correct, and whether lighting candles now for Long'er and Qiao Renliang is still of help?

Yu Menglong: You can fill in the same date as everyone else does. The candles you light bring us tremendous strength—truly, thank you so much!

Before, because I couldn't bear for everyone to spend money on lighting candles for me, this may have caused some misunderstanding among you. Here, I would like to apologize to everyone for having caused you to misunderstand Yu En and me.

Lemon: Today the two hosts of 204 held a Fa conference at a Buddhist temple in Thailand for Yu Menglong, and they also brought along the letters from the Lemon fans in Taiwan and from all the kind-hearted people in Taiwan who care for Little Fish, having scriptures recited for him and the letters burned for Little Fish as offerings. I hope Little Fish has received everyone's heartfelt feelings, and that all who support you will stand fast and unwavering together with you. Yu Menglong: Thank you all for your loving care for me, and for not abandoning the watch you keep. I have mainly felt heartfelt sorrow for the trouble and expense you have undertaken—but truly, I am deeply grateful for every kind thought and every bit of attention you have given me!

Lemon: I remember that Xiao Yu once mentioned in an article that people who are gay are also human beings, and that they too can be saved. There are people who are gay among those around me. Apart from their sexual orientation, in every other aspect they are perfectly normal—they are well-educated, upright in their thinking, and hold high social standing. In the righteous teachings, homosexuality is considered a sin. I have always believed that every original life is beautiful, and that some lives, before reincarnating to Earth, choose their life scripts in the higher realms. They take on some life scripts of extreme difficulty and high challenge in order to elevate the dimension of their souls (bearing hardship in order to dissolve karma)—for example, life scripts involving homosexuality, drug addiction, and so on. So when they are born as human beings in this life, they encounter these harmful habits. If, in this life, through their own efforts they cleanse the impurities and successfully break free from these harmful habits, their spirituality is elevated, and at the same time they reduce the dark energy upon Earth, and in the end they pass the test of their life script. Otherwise, in their lives they can only be drowned by this dark energy, with little hope of rising up. Could this understanding be correct? I do not know how to help them give up these wrong thoughts, return to a normal state, and bring forth a little more positive energy. From ancient times until now, homosexuality has continued to be passed down. How did these things take shape… and how, in the end, are they to be cleansed away…? Now time is passing by swiftly, the frequency of the Earth keeps rising, and if these heavy and dirty thoughts and unhealthy habits are not cast off in time, and one cannot keep up with the Earth's rhythm, they will be in great danger. Please, Yu, give us a method—I truly wish to help them. 🙏

Yu Menglong: Thank you for your compassion—especially for your compassion toward those who are gay!

Friends who are struggling along this path often have a voice deep within their hearts that says to them, "Is this perhaps not right?"—this is the kindness within our true nature speaking, and so an inner pulling-back-and-forth arises.

To walk this path requires not merely "letting go," but truly "casting off"— casting off, with strength, the thoughts of desire, and bravely stepping away from environments that stir those desires.

This calls for tremendous firmness and perseverance. It is truly not easy, but many people who have walked this path have shown that it can indeed be walked through.

And many of the answers, in truth, lie deep within one's own heart—only that they have been temporarily covered over by the pressures and hardships of life.

You might find a quiet moment, entrust the questions in your heart to that kind-hearted self within you, and listen quietly to how it responds. The answers are often clearer than we had thought.

After receiving an answer, the next step is action. In the "Yu En Transmission" article series, we have discussed how to obtain the key to the new universe; this can be referred to alongside. Friends who wish to enter the new universe need sincerity, firmness, and the courage to honestly face themselves.

The key is right before our eyes, within reach. In the new universe created by the Creator, there will be none of these draining habits of the old universe— For these habits, viewed from the perspective of cultivation, are in fact heavy substances that obstruct the divine nature with which we are originally endowed from shining forth.

A human being, from the very beginning, possesses three layers simultaneously: divine nature, human nature, and demonic nature. When unwholesome desires are gratified and given free rein, divine nature is suppressed.

The stronger the desires, the more easily demonic nature will grow. When the weight of demonic nature exceeds that of divine nature, the soul will gradually incline toward the demonic side. By that point, to once again raise the height of one's soul will be far more difficult than it would have been to hold fast from the start.

This is not to say that once one has gone astray, one can never return. Even in such a predicament, so long as one is willing to seek help from the deities, the path lies right before them.

But take heed: one must seek help from the righteous deities. If what one prays to is not a righteous deity, not only will one fail to receive any true help, but one may even be dragged down and unable to resist the demonic nature.

When the righteous teachings say that "homosexuality is a sin," what is meant is this: this act goes against the moral and life-laws set forth by the deities when they created humans, and exceeds what the deities originally permitted, and therefore is a sin— The meaning is that such conduct deviates from the right path and will bring harm to one's own life. It does not mean that such a person is in themselves lesser than others and should be discriminated against. What we cannot bear is the harm such conduct brings upon people, not the people themselves.

A friend who is struggling along this path is, just like you and me, created by the deities, possesses a kind nature, is worthy of respect, and is a life cherished by the deities.

Here I would like to distinguish between two things: a person silently struggling and striving within their own life is one thing; a movement that strives mightily to change the laws of an entire society and the direction of its education is something quite different in nature.

Toward the former, our attitude is one of accompaniment and blessing. Toward the latter—especially when it brings related concepts and bodily changes upon teenagers and small children who have not yet developed the capacity to make judgments—we must take seriously the impact this has upon the lives of the next generation.

In the face of the many disorders of this age, the cultivation of an upright Law is the most fundamental way out that I know of. Especially in the present stage of the changeover between the old universe and the new, in my view, no other method can be more direct or more effective than this path.

Whether one is able to cultivate an upright Law, and which cultivation path one enters into—behind all this lies each person's own historical origins. It cannot be rushed, nor can it be forced; this is a matter of predestined connection.

But in this present moment of the changeover between the old universe and the new, what weighs on my heart most is the hope that every friend—especially those friends who are struggling along this path—may obtain the key to the new universe, and may pass safely through the process of the old and new universes' transition.

In entering the new universe, the deities will be the ones guiding. The new universe was prepared by the deities for the lives they love, and the lives that enter into it will there become what they originally were.

In the end, whether one will follow divine nature or yield to demonic nature—this right of choice the deities have left for every person to decide for themselves.

May you share this with those who need it, so that after reading this sharing, they may possess a little more quietude, a little more courage, to listen to that kind-hearted voice within their own heart—it has always been there, and has never left.
