VIDEO: 4-Year-Old Discovers Mom Ate His Ice Cream—His Next Move Stuns Everyone!
A 4-year-old boy, convinced his mom ate his ice cream, takes an unexpected course of action, leading to a hilarious and heartwarming encounter.

Justice was nearly served cold (and creamy) this week when a determined 4-year-old took matters into his own hands, or rather, into his mother’s phone. The emergency? An ice cream thief was on the loose. The prime suspect? His very own mom.
It all started when Dez’Riel, an enthusiastic lover of frozen treats, discovered that his ice cream had mysteriously disappeared—or so he thought. In reality, his mom had eaten another ice cream, not his, but he was convinced otherwise. Outraged and seeking immediate legal action, he activated Siri and made a bold move: dialing 911. His mom, LaKaydra Lowery, believing Siri wouldn’t actually follow through, was in for a surprise when the call went through.

“My mommy is being bad,” the young plaintiff told the dispatcher, according to WTMJ. When asked what was wrong, he made his case crystal clear: “Come and get my mommy.”
LaKaydra, who clearly didn’t expect to become a fugitive in her own home, tried to clarify things. “Oh, this little one got the phone, and he’s four,” she explained. But Dez’Riel wasn’t about to let her off that easily. He stood his ground, demanding that the authorities intervene in this dessert-related injustice.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department responded swiftly, showing up at the home to investigate the crime scene. Officers Rachel Gardinier and Francesca Ostergaard soon uncovered the truth: There had been an ice cream incident, but the accused was still at large in her own kitchen.
“He was very adamant that this was a police matter,” Officer Gardinier said, laughing. “And we did let him know what guidelines it is to call the police.”
Upon further interrogation, Dez’Riel had a change of heart. His sentencing recommendation shifted from jail time to simply securing more ice cream. In a moment of reflection, he turned to his mom and reconsidered his verdict: “Maybe you don’t have to go to jail.” Officers, recognizing an opportunity to teach and build trust, promised they’d be back.

True to their word, the next day, the officers returned—not with handcuffs, but with a much sweeter solution: a special ice cream delivery.
“Just being able to make his day makes our day,” said Officer Ostergaard. And just like that, the case was closed.

This unusual call left the officers with a great story and a happy kid with a well-earned treat. It also served as a friendly reminder that while ice cream disputes may feel like an emergency, 911 should be reserved for actual life-threatening situations.
In the end, Dez’Riel may not have gotten the arrest he originally requested, but he did learn an important lesson—and got his ice cream too. Justice, as they say, was served.
