Trump: Memo States Iran Will Not Have a Nuclear Weapon; FBI Thwarts Threat to UFC Event

U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the memorandum of understanding with Iran states clearly that Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. Trump said he will release the text of the U.S.-Iran memorandum in a formal setting.

The president also said he likes the idea of sending the Iran deal to Congress for review, a request by some Republican lawmakers. "I never thought about sending it, never even thought about it, but I will," Trump told reporters. "I will send it to Congress. I like the idea."

The FBI said on Tuesday it had thwarted a potential threat ahead of the UFC event at the White House last weekend and has multiple people in custody. Fox News Digital cited unidentified sources as saying the alleged plot involved using explosive-laden drones to hit buildings near the event.
