The Department of Justice today
indicting former FBI Director James Comey for a second time.
He's charged with two crimes,
threatening to kill the president
and transmitting the threat in interstate commerce
through Instagram.
While this case is unique and this indictment stands out
because of the name of the defendant,
his alleged conduct is the same kind of conduct
that we will never tolerate
and that we will always investigate and regularly prosecute.
The indictment was filed
in the Eastern District of North Carolina.
Comey is charged with threatening President Trump's life
when he posted on Instagram a picture of seashells
spelling out 8647, which many interpret
as a call for violence against the 47th president.
In response to the indictment,
he says he's still innocent and still not afraid.
Comey deleted the post last year after receiving backlash.
In September, Comey was indicted on charges
of making false statements and obstruction of justice.
A federal judge later tossed the case
saying that the interim U.S. attorney at that time
didn't have the authority to bring on the indictment
because she wasn't confirmed by the Senate.
In today's case, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanch
says the investigation remains ongoing.

The White House is also reviewing
how best to protect the president
after what it calls a third major assassination attempt.

As the U.S. naval blockade against Iran continues,
President Trump on Tuesday saying that Iran
has told the U.S. that they're now in a state of collapse,
adding that Tehran is asking the U.S.
to open the Strait of Hormuz
as they try to figure out their leadership situation.
It comes as the White House says
the administration is now discussing an Iranian proposal
that will lift the blockade first
and postpone nuclear talks to a later stage.
I wouldn't say they're considering it.
I would just say that there was a discussion
An official told Reuters that Trump is unhappy
with Iran's proposal, and the Secretary of State
vows that the U.S. would never allow
an apocalyptic regime to go nuclear.
Suffice it to say that the nuclear question
is the reason why we're in this in the first place.
If Iran was just a radical country run by radical people,
but, you know, it'd still be a problem.
But they are revolutionary.
There's no doubt in my mind that at some point
in the future, if this radical clerical regime
remain in charge in Iran,
they will decide they want a nuclear weapon.
Treasury Secretary Scott Besson

Meantime, Saturday's shooting

He's accused of engaging in a scheme

Morins is also accused of receiving gifts

King Charles III addressing Congress Tuesday,

He pointed to rising global threats
and reaffirmed the U.S.-UK alliance.
It is an era that is in many ways
more volatile and more dangerous
than the world to which my late mother spoke
in this chamber in 1991.
The challenges we face are too great
for any one nation to bear alone.
That same unyielding resolve is needed
for the defense of Ukraine and her most courageous people.
The King also referenced recent political violence

at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
We meet, too, in the aftermath of the incident

As lawmakers face growing pressure at home,

Reporting from Washington, D.C., Chris Bobb, NTD News.
And joining me now to discuss everything happening on the Hill
is Texas Congresswoman Beth Van Dyne.
Congresswoman Van Dyne, thanks so much for joining us here.
Now, what a week we're in for Congress.
You know, King Charles from the U.K.
addressing Congress today. Here's a clip of that.
With a spirit of 1776 in our minds,
we can perhaps agree that we do not always agree,
at least in the first instance.
Indeed, the very principle on which your Congress was founded,
no taxation without representation,
was at once a fundamental disagreement between us
and at the same time a shared democratic value
which you inherited from us.
Ours is a partnership born out of dispute,
but no less strong for it.
Now, Congresswoman, he certainly covered a lot in his speech.
What did you make of his messages
and the timing of his visit?
Oh, look, I think the timing is what it is.
I think he struck the right chord.
He's trying to hit a balance.
He talked about the years of partnership
and friendship between our two nations,
acknowledged that 250 years ago, it was quite tense,
but we have definitely gotten ...
He even made some jokes.
It was actually a lot more humorous than I had thought.
He talked about the importance
that we were all built on a Christian nation
and how that is important moving forward.
Those are the types of shared culture that we've got.
He made fun of ...
We have everything shared but language,
which definitely struck a chord and made a lot of people laugh.
I think it was a good thing.
Was I the only one struck up by the irony
that the Democrats kept giving standing ovations to a king
after all of their talk about no-king rallies?
I just thought it was kind of funny.
Yeah, I mean, that's a good point you raised,
but many Republicans are attributing
this continued assassination attempts against President Trump
to rhetoric coming from Democratic leaders and the media.
Here's White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt on this.
Those who constantly falsely label
and slander the president as a fascist,
as a threat to democracy,
and compare him to Hitler to score political points
are fueling this kind of violence.
Senator Alex Padilla said people are, quote,
dying because of fear and terror
caused by the Trump administration.
Senator Elizabeth Warren, President Trump
is making the country look like a, quote, fascist state.
Congresswoman, do you think there should be
some kind of accountability to this?
Without a doubt. I mean, if you included the madman
who rushed the Secret Service at Mar-a-Lago,
there's been four assassination attempts on this president.
You look at the ICE agents that are being hunted down
in areas even in North Texas, the BLM riots.
You're seeing this over and over again where the left,
these crazy, radical leftists are comparing Trump
and other Republicans to Nazis, haters.
We're going to overthrow democracy.
They are setting this up. I mean, just last week,
you had the Southern Poverty Law Center
that admits to funneling $3 million to KKK
and to some of these radical extremist groups,
all basically to promote hate. And what is happening?
It should come as no surprise. You're seeing violence.
You're seeing, you know, members of their own party,
people who look up to them,
who are coming and accepting that violence
is perfectly justified.
This is what they're hearing from their leaders.
When you've got Hakeem Jeffries in the House,
in the Capitol,
talking about maximum warfare against Republicans,
this should come as no shock.
So they should absolutely be held accountable.
This has got to stop.
Look, this is a person who has had his life
threatened four times.
It's going to continue until Democrats actually wise up
and stop the violent rhetoric.
And the people who are caught in the middle of this,
of course, are law enforcement,
the Secret Service.
And at this time,
they're facing the possibility
of not receiving their paychecks.
We know the Post Guard was on the Hill today,
testifying how they may,
their lights and their power may be turned off
at some of their homes
because they're not going to reach their paycheck.
So the deadline is fast approaching for this DHS funding.
Emergency allocations that's keeping everything running
will run out this weekend.
Why is this still stalled?
And what do you see as the next steps?
The Senate has not been able to get their votes.
The Senate Democrats would rather defund ICE,
defund Customs and Border Protection
than actually pass a bill that pays folks in Coast Guard,
pays our FEMA folks.
It's ridiculous,
but this is the hill that they are willing to die on.
Now, the bill that they have sent us back is awful.
What they're asking us to do
is to vote for a short-term fund of ICE and CBP,
but the budget that they want us to vote on,
so two separate bills,
the budget they want us to vote on
zeroes out the budgets for ICE and CBP.
And so what's gonna happen
is we are setting ourselves up for failure in three years
if we vote for this,
because we have not been able to really,
in a normal manner,
be able to fund the government through appropriation bills.
So typically they use continuing resolutions.
And I was in our conference last night
and I asked the Speaker of the House,
I said, okay, so if we pass both of these bills,
we're fine for three years,
but in three years,
if we need a continuing resolution, what happens?
What happens is that CBP and ICE will be defunded
according to a bill that Republicans passed.
I think it is way too risky
and the idea that this is not gonna be on our table,
we're not kicking the can down the road in three years.
If we have a Republican-led House,
we have a Republican-led Senate,
and we've got a Republican in the White House.
If we cannot do better now,
what makes you think
that we're gonna be able to do that in three years?
As a Texas Congress member,
that risk is way too high.
Yeah, and the pressure keeps building
as the DHS remains unfunded
in the longest time ever in history.

An American company may be complicit
in human rights abuses in China.
Here's an attorney explaining the case
to the Supreme Court today.
Each of the plaintiffs were tortured or killed
by Chinese authorities because of their religious beliefs.
Cisco provided substantial assistance
to this persecution from U.S. territory
by providing a customized surveillance system
designed to identify Falun Gong believers
to Chinese authorities for detention
and forced conversion through torture
and other barbaric treatment.
The case before the Supreme Court today
centered on whether U.S. companies
can be held responsible for assisting human rights abuses
committed by foreign governments.
Joining me now to break down the case
is Janja Kellick, senior editor of the Epoch Times,
host of American Thought Leaders,
and now New York Times bestselling author.
Janja Kellick, thanks so much for joining us here.
Great to be here, Jack.
Now, the Supreme Court just heard arguments
on whether Cisco assisted the Chinese Communist Party
in its torture and killings of Falun Gong practitioners.
Here's Justice Sotomayor describing what happened,
followed by the attorney for the practitioners.
The allegation is that Cisco,
knowing that China was going to torture Falun Gong adherents
actually promoted sales of its technology,
not only by telling them that it could do it
if they bought this technology,
but custom making it as it bragged to the Senate
so that it could identify 90% of such adherents.
Cisco subjected Falun Gong believers
to torture and extrajudicial killing
by identifying them and delivering them to their torturers.
Now, Jan, describe for us how significant this case is.
Well, obviously incredibly significant.
I mean, the big question at play,
there's multiple questions at play, right?
One of them is simply, can and should American companies
be held civilly liable under this alien tort statute
or Torture Victims Protection Act statute
for activity they've done outside of America, right?
So that's kind of a general question.
I know the conservative justices
don't necessarily like this particular statute
because it could put American companies,
make them subject to abuse, right,
by kind of frivolous lawsuits and so forth.
The other side of it, however,
is that looking at some of the research materials
that are involved in this case,
it really does look, the allegation is that
that Cisco marketed itself to the Chinese Communist Party
knowing full well what its technology would be used for
for surveilling people, identifying them,
and basically that information being used to persecute them.
There's a kind of an extreme persecution strategy
that the Chinese Communist Party was in the process
of enacting when Cisco representatives kind of sold the idea
to the regime and built this golden shield
mass surveillance system.
And this is kind of the prototype
which then the Chinese regime has expanded dramatically.
I wanna get into the aspects of this persecution itself.
It's one of the biggest ongoing persecutions in the world.
Describe for us the scope and scale of this.
In 1999, the Chinese regime estimated
there were 70 to 100 million Falun Gong adherents.
If this is a practice based on truthfulness,
compassion, forbearance for those that aren't familiar,
slow motion exercises combined with these principles.
And very, very grassroots in form.
It doesn't have a hierarchy or worship.
It basically kind of spreads by word of mouth.
And indeed it spread from a relatively small number
of people doing it in the early 90s
to 70 to 100 million by their own,
I think it was the sports ministry estimate.
And so the regime decided to crush it at that point.
And there's a bunch of theories around why.
But so the effect of this was that
what you would call black class though.
And black classing is a standard modus operandi
for the Chinese Communist Party.
We should push mass dehumanizing propaganda
into a population against a particular group of people.
One of the earliest was landowners in fact.
And there's been many groups over the years.
Falun Gong were the newest group in 1999
that was basically vilified, told,
the society was told that they're dangerous,
they're bad people, you should turn them in,
all this kind of stuff, right?
So there's this mass dehumanizing propaganda
that was pushed into the system against them.
And then when these people, against all odds,
resisted, perhaps as a function of the fact
that it's a very independent practice.
So it wasn't something where you could just take away
the leaders or something like that.
They weren't really leaders.
They're just a lot of people very serious
about enacting this being true good and enduring,
which is another translation.
So they incarcerated a huge number of them
and there was this unwritten rule in the system
that all Falun Gong deaths will be considered suicides,
which means that the purpose wasn't to kill everybody,
but it was to break them, to re-educate them,
to get them to renounce what they were doing,
to participate in forcing others to renounce it.
But the Falun Gong were unusually resilient
to these kind of horrible tried and tested coercion methods
that the regime had developed.
And people are arrested for doing just that.
As described in your new book, Killed to Order,
you lay out the CCP's state sanctioned
forced organ harvesting,
specifically targeting Falun Gong practitioners.
What does this entail?
It's a crazy next level form of organ trafficking
that we're talking about.
Okay, by the way, my book,
for those that might be interested,
killedtoorder.com,
that's the short link to be able to get the book.
Well, it turns out they blood type, tissue type,
and organs scan the Falun Gong practitioners en masse.
You know, remember how many people were incarcerated here.
We're talking in 2005,
the State Department said that half of all the people
in China's massive incarceration system of prisons,
jails, re-education camps, labor camps,
all that were Falun Gong practitioners.
So they blood type, tissue type, and organs scanned them
and built a database of these vitals.
So now, when let's say the transplant tourist comes along,
pays their 100 or 200 grand,
there doesn't need to be a catastrophic accident
because that unique set of vitals is already in a database
and that person can be picked up
because they're already incarcerated
and innocent prisoner of conscience
and they can be shipped and killed to order.
So Jan, Falun Gong is one of those no-go subjects
for the CCP, which leverages agents and proxies abroad
to suppress any information about the persecution.
Describe for us the significance of this case,
the Cisco case, being brought before the Supreme Court.
Well, I think I've noticed that
whenever this case does come up,
and it has multiple times, right,
because multiple courts,
including most recently the Ninth Circuit,
have made rulings on this issue, right?
Every time it comes up,
there's an interest in it broadly in the media,
which I think is very positive,
exactly to your point, right,
that it's very difficult,
that the Epoch Times, of course,
we've been covering these for the persecution of Falun Gong
in multiple different groups in China
that are also information around,
that's also suppressed.
But for a lot of the society out there, right,
this is an issue that's gotten a lot less coverage
than it actually deserves.
So one great thing that would happen,
actually that'll happen kind of irrespective in a sense,
is that there will be more coverage.
I would argue it would be very valuable
for the world to understand,
like what's in these discovery materials?
What did Cisco actually do here, right?
Like what did they propose?
Is it okay to allegedly, basically,
agree to persecute a group of people
and support persecuting a group of people
in order to do business with a totalitarian regime?

A federal grand jury today returned an indictment
charging former FBI Director James Comey
with making threats to harm President Trump.
This comes three days after a third assassination attempt
on the president's life,
and comedian Jimmy Kimmel calling the first lady
an expectant widow.
Joining me now to discuss these developments
is Haima Moore, Democratic strategist and principal
at Cornerstone Government Affairs,
and former congressman from Ohio, Bob McEwen.
Hey, thank you both for coming on tonight.
Now, former FBI Director James Comey indicted today
for a social media post showing shells on a beach,
spelling out 8647, calling to get rid of President Trump.
Haima, we have Comey later who took down the post
and commenting that he didn't realize
that some folks associate those numbers
with violence.
Is that plausible to you?
Hey, Jack, good to see you.
Thanks for having me.
Look, you're not gonna get me here defending Jim Comey,
as you know, but for what it's worth,
I don't think he was trying to have any
or incite any attempt on the president's life
or any violence to the president.
It seemed sloppy, it was ill-informed,
and as we've seen in recent years,
Jim Comey just doesn't pay attention to detail
and he loves to be a part of the spotlight.
But this indictment, like the other ones,
probably not gonna go too far,
seems like a nothing burger,
but it was just a really poor judgment
on the former director.
Congressman, should there be consequences
for a post like this that may amplify a political threat?
Well, Mr. Comey has done so many things
that are actionable.
I'm not sure this is the strongest link.
As you know, he's the one that worked cooperatively
with the Clinton campaign in 2016
to come up with this dossier
from a man who was just a liar and a cheat.
And he came up with his charges of a relationship
between Donald Trump and Putin.
And when they, it was just all nonsense.
And he offered, the FBI offered American tax dollars,
a million dollars, a million dollars
to anything in there that he could prove.
And it was all speculation,
it was all just made up.
Mentioned how he stayed in these flop houses in Moscow,
which of course you can find out that Trump wasn't there
and everyone knows he's a germaphobe anyway.
He doesn't sleep in hotels.
And so, but then afterwards, when all of that fell apart,
he then leaked the story through his friend,
which he bragged about recently.
And he said how that he had made this presentation
so that people said, well, what was it?
Well, this is the presentation I made.
So I went and put it in the public domain,
this absolute trash.
And so of course he was fired for it.
And now here he says he went to 86.
And so I agree with the concern
that this isn't the strongest link,
that this is a man that is a real shame
and a dirty cop, as the president said,
that has permanently damaged the reputation of the FBI.
I just wanna get your thoughts on this.
Is this case gonna breathe new life
into that Russia, Russia, Russia hoax investigation?
Look, Jack, I don't know.
I mean, I think people are gonna take a second look
at Jim Comey.
As I said before, I squarely blame Jim Comey
for Hillary Clinton's loss.
And I will say that for now and forever.
And so I have no love for Jim Comey
and I'm not gonna sit here and try to do that right here.
And so I think people will have a second look.
Like I said earlier, this indictment, like the last one,
is probably not gonna have many legs to stand on.
Just from a prosecution perspective.
But I think people are gonna look at him for a second
and see what he's been up to.
Now let's get into the Trump administration
now challenging ABC station licenses
for airing Jimmy Kimmel's show.
Kimmel recently commented that Melania Trump had,
quote, the glow of an expectant widow.
Just days later, the shooter
at the White House Correspondents Association dinner
tried to attack the event with President Trump
and many administration officials.
Haima, Republicans are calling out rhetoric
comparing the president to a Nazi or dictator.
Is this having an effect on the American people?
I mean, look, Jack, I was in the building on Saturday
at the Hilton, Washington.
And so this is deeply personal.
And I think the amount of violence we've seen escalate
over the last decade, 15, 20 years,
is just getting out of hand.
And so we have to make sure, one,
in these sort of instances,
the president, the vice president,
those of the cabinet and the media are protected,
and so these things do not happen.
And then secondly, we've gotta figure out a way
to tone down all of this rhetoric on either side.
And look, the president himself,
and we all can just admit that,
has been a part of inciting this kind of language
as he's run for president three times
and while he's been president.
And so I think as a leader,
I would like to see the president,
like he did on Saturday,
he was really conciliatory on Saturday,
to continue to use this platform to bring people together
and to just cut this BS out
because someone's gonna get hurt
and it's not gonna be good and we've gotta stop it.
Congressman, one of the playbooks
out of the Marxist textbook is to convince the populace
that political murder is justified.
Should we be concerned about all this?
Well, it's unbelievable when you see that
an answer to that question,
is sometimes violence justified,
and you see as the younger the group is continuing to grow,
of course, demographically on the left,
the youngest group is up to 30%.
A third of people say it's sometimes appropriate
to use violence and that's the difference
between a representative democracy in which we live
and which if you have a problem,
you fight it out at the voting booth,
you don't go destroy things, you don't burn things down,
you don't attack the police, you destroy the city.
And this idea that, and it's the whole question
of we're supposed to have a competition of ideas
and yet when you take the left,
they don't have a solution for their homelessness,
they don't have a solution to the border,
they don't say what they're gonna do to improve education
in all of the schools, the school districts
that are destroying in these very blue areas,
they don't talk about that.
What they talk about is Nazi,
racist, all of these charges that they make against,
just random always and young people when they hear it,
they quoted some of them today,
where you saw where Schumer and those people said,
people are dying because of this man.
But when United States senators say
that the president is killing people,
you can see where deranged minds will say,
well, I need to stop, this man is Hitler.
And I think that, I don't hear Donald Trump say that.
Now, he does fight back when he's attacked
and there is a raising of the level of competition verbally
that is totally different from in the past.
But this idea that people are totally evil,
and I repeat, they do not offer an alternative.
You ask a leftist running for office today,
if you're running for mayor of New York,
what are you going to do to solve this?
Donald Trump is a racist and a bigot
that's the solution and the answer to every single charge.
When they asked the governor of Virginia,
why are you redistricting here?
Not her explanation for why she was redistricting in Virginia
the very first words out about Donald Trump,
everything is an attack on Donald Trump.
And I believe that this Jimmy Kimmel,
the only worst thing that he said
about that she was an expectant widow
was to not say, I'm sorry, or it wasn't appropriate,
or maybe it wasn't a proper fact to show no remorse,
but then to double down and say,
it's her husband's fault that he did these things.
And I do think that I hope, I pray
that Americans are getting fed up with it.
We vote for candidates for office
who have something to offer the electorate
and our country can continue the renaissance
that we've seen over this last year
that's so exciting to the rest of the world.
Emma, your response?
I mean, Congressman, with all due respect,
we must be listening to two different Democrats.
When I talk to Democrats, what I hear them talking about
is how healthcare has been way more expensive,
how gasoline is causing them to choose
not to drive their cars as often as they have.
As they're preparing for summer camps and back to school
and just elements of inflation that are continuing
to barrel down on their pocketbooks,
I don't hear them say anything about fascists.
I don't hear them say anything about
let's take the president out.
They're trying to figure out how to handle their lives
right in front of them.
And so we must be listening to two different Democrats.
And I must also underscore this.
One thing that people have not been able
to really call out the last couple of days is,
if you recall, the vice president himself,
before he was vice president,
called the president Hitler or Hitler-like.
And so this conversation is not gonna get better
if we keep going back and forth and saying,
oh, Democrats are doing this, Democrats are doing that.
We need leadership, we need the president,
the vice president, these leaders, the speaker,
the leader, Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer,
all to stand up and say, enough of this chaos.
We're gonna be Americans,
we're gonna celebrate the 250 together,
and we're gonna go into the next millennia
and next decade as a unison.
I mean, the king was just here today talking about democracy
and how important America is to the world.
If we're separated, we're weaker.
Let's come together and get stronger again.
Congressman, what would you like to see Democrats
and Republicans do going forward
to sort of squelch this political violence
we're seeing more instances of?
Well, I do think that it's the sadness
of this constant, they're evil as opposed to they're wrong.
When I was in Congress, of course,
we always competed on ideas.
And we would, presentations on the floor,
we'd make an amendment,
and then we'd fight it out as best we can.
And many times we won, sometimes we lost.
But then there came to a final passage of a bill.
And that was, will there be a Department of Agriculture?
Will there be a Department of Transportation?
Will there be Homeland Security?
And what we've seen in recent years
is that every single Democrat
will take Fetterman exception.
Everything has voted no.
Now, the reason that the Secret Service is not funded
or that the Coast Guard is not funded
or that FEMA is not funded
is because not one single Democrat,
not one will vote for final passage of a bill
unless they have their way on everything.
And I think the idea that when you recognize
that I'm a conservative or they're a liberal,
they're trying to amend it,
but in the end, we're Americans.
And now the time has come that we all have to pass it,
but there is not one Democrat that has voted for passage
of one of the appropriations bills
for all of the 13 visions of government.
And that's the thing that I think we have to get back to.
Am I an American or am I a political hack?
And when we begin to work together on bills
and we are proud of our work together,
even though we're disappointed in certain sections,
then I think we can, and I think we've hit bottom.
Like I repeat, we see that having one single vote
from the Democrats for the passage of any of these bills,
doing the same thing for the appointment
of the presidential appointees.
It used to be that cabinet secretaries
were all accepted on the day of the inaugural.
And the idea of dragging them out for years and months
is totally different.
So I think we've had enough of it.
I hope that we can take the leadership
that was mentioned there, that we can go back
and the solution to healthcare and the solution to education
is not how evil Donald Trump is,
but an actual solution as to how we're gonna fix healthcare
or how we're gonna fix education.
Former Congressman Bob McEwen and Haima Moore,
thank you both very much for sharing your time
and insights with us today.
Really appreciate it.
And coming up, federal agencies
raiding Minnesota daycare centers accused of fraud.
Homeland Security says they're working to get answers
on how American taxpayer dollars are being abused
when we come back.
Sweetie, are you ready to go?
In a sec.
You think Granny will like this?
Of course she will.
Let's go.
Hello.
So good to see you.
Come in, come in, come in.
Ma'am, thank you for everything.
Oh my goodness.
Thank you for everything.
Oh, wow.
Congratulations.
I'm Amy Grant and I wanna talk to you
from my heart about the heart.
I would have been the last person on the list
to say this woman has a problem with her heart.
So no, there was nothing about my life that said
you have a ticking time bomb in your chest.
But I did.
I wound up in the office of a cardiologist
because I was there with my husband.
And at the tail end of that,
the cardiologist looked at me and said,
I wanna see you.
No one was more surprised than I was
to learn I was living with a rare heart condition.
He said, Amy, this condition,
you'll be fine, fine, fine, and then catastrophic.
A few months later, I had an open heart surgery
that saved my life.
And I owe it to the research
and life-saving medical breakthroughs
developed by the American Heart Association.
That's why I'm asking you to join me
and become a monthly donor
to the American Heart Association.

Welcome back, I'm Jack Bradley.
The Department of Justice saying a solid case
is being built against the third person
who allegedly attempted to take President Trump's life.
The suspect currently has three federal charges against him
with the DOJ saying more are coming.
NTD correspondent Jason Blair has more.
Make no mistake, this was an attempted assassination
of the President of the United States.
The Department of Justice says it's building
a strong case against White House Correspondents'
Dinner shooting suspect Cole Allen.
Allen has been indicted on three counts
including attempting to assassinate the U.S. President,
transporting a firearm across state lines,
and discharging a firearm during a violent crime.
This is just the beginning of this indictment
of these charges.
The indictment will include a lot more charges.
We'll know a lot more, but right now we have a solid case.
The DOJ released photos of several weapons
taken from the suspect.
Washington, D.C. is not the place to travel
to commit acts of violence.
And if you are willing to do so with a firearm
and cross state lines, we will find you,
we will track your steps.
On Monday, the White House brought violent rhetoric
back into scrutiny.
When you read the manifesto of this shooter,
ask yourselves, how different is the rhetoric
from this almost assassin than what you read on social media
and hear in various forums every single day?
Senator Elizabeth Warren, President Trump
is making the country look like a, quote, fascist state.
As Senator Alex Padilla said, people are, quote,
dying because of fear and terror
caused by the Trump administration.
Monica McIver, a Democrat representative on Capitol Hill,
we will not take this from Donald Trump.
He thinks he's a dictator.
We are at war.
Reporting in Washington, D.C., Jason Blair, NTD News.
Federal agents execute multiple search warrants
in Minnesota, which they say are tied to fraud.
The Department of Homeland Security says
they're working to provide answers to the American people
who, unquote, on how their taxpayer dollars were abused.
NTD's Jason Perry has the update.
Federal agents seen carrying items
from this childcare center in Minnesota on Tuesday.
The Department of Homeland Security
said that Homeland Security investigations
in cooperation with law enforcement partners
executed multiple criminal search warrants in Minneapolis,
adding that the investigation is related to, quote,
the rampant fraud of U.S. taxpayer dollars.
The Minnesota Attorney General's Office told CNN
that five of the facilities being served with warrants
are connected to a state program
designed to assist children
with autism and spectrum disorder,
adding that Minnesota's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit
assisted in the operation targeting those businesses,
and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz posting on X
that Tuesday's raids by state and federal law enforcement
happened because our state agencies
caught irregular behavior and reported it.
That's how the system is supposed to work.
However, FBI Director Kash Patel
replying to Walz's post saying,
come again, this FBI and DOJ with our DHS partners
drafted and executed every search warrant today,
but go ahead and take credit for our work
while we smoke out the fraud plaguing Minnesota.
The search warrants were executed just hours
before Walz was set to give his state-of-the-state address
for Minnesota.
Minnesota came under the public eye in December
after an investigative video went viral
in which independent journalist Nick Shirley
visited daycare centers in Minnesota
that did not appear to be caring for any children.
President Trump has said $19 billion was stolen
through taxpayer-funded programs in Minnesota,
saying this about the situation earlier this month.
Daycare centers, right?
So in Minnesota and Los Angeles, they have thousands of them.
You'd say, how could you have,
there are more daycare centers than they have children.
They literally, sure, they have thousands,
so we go and we send inspectors out.
Of the 700 that they looked at approximately in Minnesota,
there were not one that was a daycare center.
It's homes where they send checks for thousands of dollars.
The Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday
posting on X that they will continue working
to deliver answers to the American people
on how their taxpayer dollars were abused.

Shen Yun Performing Arts attracting the attention
of the Detroit City Council over the weekend,
world-class artists transporting audiences
through 5,000 years of Chinese history.
NTD is a media sponsor of Shen Yun
covering audience reactions since 2006.
Let's take a look at what one council member
had to say about the performance.
On the evening of April 25th,
Shen Yun Performing Arts gave a performance
at the Detroit Opera House in Detroit, Michigan.
In attendance was Detroit City Council member
Angela Whitfield Calloway,
who on behalf of the Detroit City Council
presented Shen Yun with the Spirit of Detroit Award,
congratulating Shen Yun for celebrating 20 years
of bringing the beauty and spirit
of traditional Chinese culture to audiences around the world.
The award was presented on behalf of the city of Detroit,
our mayor and our entire city council,
which represents nine people
who represent the entire city of Detroit.
And we wanted you to know that it was an amazing performance
and we wanted to show our appreciation.
Shen Yun's mission is to revive 5,000 years
of traditional Chinese culture from before communism
through classical Chinese dance and music.
The whole person was involved in every performance
and it was amazing.
It was like spiritual.
Physical, but spiritual as well.
And just beautiful from the inside out.
Just like a heightened sense of spirituality.
It just wasn't physical.
It took you to a whole nother level.
It was just the whole person,
but it was from the inside and then it came out, right?
That's what I felt.
It was amazing.
Based in New York,
Shen Yun has been touring the world since 2006
and has grown to eight different companies,
bringing in all new performance each year.
Council member Callaway also praised the performance
as flawless.
It was the most beautiful performance.
This is my first time coming.
I brought a guest.
It was just amazing.
Everything was synchronized to perfection.
Everything was precise and absolutely beautiful.
Beautiful.
All the costumes were just meticulous
and the beading and the sequence
and the rhinestones, just beautiful.
Everything was just perfection.
I think it's important that you hold on to your culture
and your tradition.
And I think everybody needs to see it
from the youngest to the oldest.
And I wanna see more children,
younger children come to these performances
so they can understand your culture,
where you come from and how you've evolved.
I think it's important that everybody
from the youngest to the oldest sees this production.
Shen Yun will be performing in Chicago, Illinois
from May 2nd to the 3rd.
And that's all we have for you tonight
on the Capitol Report.
