Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem has agreed to testify on March 3 before the Senate Judiciary Committee. That comes as Democratic Senator John Fetterman breaks ranks with his party, rejecting calls to defund or abolish ICE ahead of the Friday deadline to avert another partial government shutdown.
President Trump is in Iowa today, pushing his economic message ahead of the midterms. Meanwhile, extreme cold warnings remain in effect for about 175 million people nationwide, with another blast of Arctic air expected to move from the Plains into the East and Southeast from Friday into Saturday.
