President Donald Trump called on Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, both Democrats, to be jailed for failing to protect U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. Pritzker said he is not backing down.

Former FBI Director James Comey pleaded not guilty in federal court to charges of making a false statement and obstructing a congressional proceeding. A jury trial for him is tentatively set for Jan. 5, 2026.

Trump will hold a roundtable at the White House with members of his Cabinet. He is set to hear from independent journalists who have experienced the violence of the Antifa domestic terrorist group.
