Conservative activist Charlie Kirk has been killed in what appears to be a politically motivated shooting. He was shot in the neck while taking questions at a Utah Valley University event where the suspect remains at large.

He co-founded Turning Point USA when he was just 18 years old to bridge the divide between conservative students and the liberal majority opinions on college campuses. And he was especially famous for taking questions from students about topics ranging from climate change to faith and family values, welcoming open discussion—something running completely contrary to the act of political violence against him.

President Donald Trump calls for flags to fly at half mast and commemorates Kirk's ability to touch the hearts of young people.

It appears the wrong suspect in the shooting was taken into custody. What’s next in the manhunt, and was security adequate at the event? We hear from law enforcement experts Mathew Silverman and Betsy Smith.

What does this political violence say about the temperature of politics in America? And what is the best way to honor Charlie Kirk's legacy? We discuss with Mally Smith and Chet Love.
