LIVE: Senate Armed Services Committee Holds Hearing on 2026 Defense Budget Request

The Senate Armed Services Committee holds a hearing at 9:30 a.m. ET on June 18 to examine the president’s proposed budget request for fiscal year 2026 and the Future Years Defense Program for the Department of Defense.
Witnesses include Secretary of Defense Peter Hegseth; Bryn Woollacott MacDonnell, performing the duties of the undersecretary of defense (comptroller); and Gen. Daniel Caine, U.S. Air Force, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
