"The Resurrection of Christ" was painted by Raphael between 1499 and 1502. The composition is exquisite, guiding the viewer's gaze to the magnificent image of God revealed as Jesus ascends into the air after His resurrection. His youthful face conveys love and forgiveness. The two angels on either side, with their robes fluttering in the air and hands raised, are filled with reverence and joy, as if proclaiming this miracle to the world! The four Roman soldiers guarding the tomb react differently to this miracle: the two in front have fallen to the ground in fear, while the two in the back remain standing, reaching out towards Jesus. In the distance, three women approaching the tomb will soon witness this sacred scene. The painting is an oil on wood, measuring 52 cm × 44 cm (20.5 inches × 17.3 inches), and is currently housed in the São Paulo Museum of Art (Museu de Arte de São Paulo) in Brazil."
