
Heathrow Airport Closed After Nearby Fire; Judge: DOJ Response on Deportations Woefully Insufficient
London’s Heathrow Airport was forced to close after a fire at a nearby substation knocked out its power. Flight schedules have been disrupted across the world as Europe’s busiest airport remains out of order. The fire caused around 150 people to evacuate, and the loss of power to thousands of homes in addition to the airport.
The judge who ordered a block on President Trump’s deportation flights now says the administration’s response is not good enough. That’s prompted Trump to criticize judges who have ruled against his policies. Trump has said he would not defy any court orders but has called on the Supreme Court to reverse this and other injunctions.
Elon Musk will visit the Pentagon on Friday. The Defense Department says he was invited by Secretary Pete Hegseth. The visit comes as the Pentagon, encouraged by Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, considers major cuts to the top of the military.
