Trump Speaks at the Governor's Working Session; Senate Passes $340B Budget Resolution

President Donald Trump delivered remarks at the Governor's Working Session in the White House State Dining Room on Friday. The president said he had better talks with Russia than with Ukraine.

White House national security adviser Mike Waltz said Friday that he expects Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to sign a mineral agreement with the United States as part of efforts to end the war in Ukraine. He made the comments on the second day of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

The Senate passed a bill early Friday morning that forms a template for a plan to fund President Donald Trump's immigration, energy, and defense policy initiatives. Trump, however, preferred a House of Representatives version of the bill that would include trillions of dollars in tax cuts.
