Harris and Trump Hold Dueling Events in NC and WI; Virginia Allowed to Purge Noncitizen Voters

With 6 days left until Election Day, former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will hold dueling events on Wednesday in two battleground states. Trump will rally in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and Green Bay, Wisconsin. Harris will speak in Raleigh, North Carolina, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Madison, Wisconsin.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday allowed Virginia to remove suspected noncitizens from its voter registration rolls, siding with Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s administration in one of its first significant decisions tied to next week’s election. Virginia has removed some 1,600 voter registrations that it said came from self-identified noncitizens.

The U.S. economy grew at a healthy 2.8% annual rate from July through September, with consumers helping drive growth despite the weight of still-high interest rates. Wednesday’s report from the Commerce Department is the last major piece of economic data before the November election.
