Today's show is about a mother and her son, Zhu Yuanzhu and her son, Sun Hongwei.
In Hongwei's 20 years of life,
he has written two sad and dark stories under the Chinese rule.
Let's take a closer look at their life stories.
This is Zhu Yuanzhu's mother.
This is Sun Hongwei.
Hello.
First of all, let's go back to the era of only children after the Cultural Revolution.
Hongwei, I heard that you saved your life, didn't you?
Yes.
How was it?
Zhu Yuanzhu, please tell us your mother's story.
Okay.
First of all, at that time,
the CCP's plan to have children was very scary and evil.
At that time, I already had an older brother and an older son.
At that time, I was not allowed to have a second child.
But I gave birth to him.
What should I do?
We planned to have him.
But the environment was so scary.
At that time, we saw our neighbors, relatives and friends,
and the people around us.
As long as you hide,
they will tear down your house.
Even your relatives and friends can rent it to you.
If you give birth,
they will fine you a high fine.
Anyway, it was very scary.
So at that time,
we discussed with my husband.
We can't stay in a scary place.
If we were found out,
our children would be beaten.
So we planned to leave this place.
We thought that my grandfather and my father-in-law were in Taiwan.
We discussed with my father-in-law that we would go to Taiwan.
Then my father-in-law sent an invitation.
You and your husband are both mainlanders, right?
Hongwei's nationality is Taiwan.
So we were very curious.
Yes.
That's why.
My grandfather was in Taiwan at that time.
So we went to Taiwan for the sake of visiting relatives.
Yes.
When we arrived in Taiwan,
we gave birth to him very successfully.
After giving birth to him,
his father-in-law fell under his grandfather's name.
So he became a Taiwanese.
Hongwei's life was in danger.
This was the first time he came to this world
and experienced this life and death.
Yes, he saved his life.
He saved his life and returned to the mainland.
The second time,
I was even more curious.
When Hongwei was 13 years old,
he flew to Taiwan alone.
What kind of experience was this?
This was the experience of being persecuted by the CCP again.
When he was over six years old,
I, Qingyang Falun Gong, was persecuted.
I was sentenced to seven years in prison.
At that time, he was only six years old.
So when I came out,
he was over six years old.
I was in prison for seven years.
I was brutally persecuted inside.
They also suffered a lot outside.
Because his personality completely changed.
When I went in, he was very lively.
Because the teachers said he did a very good job
performing for the children.
So he was very lively.
He was very good at studying.
His memory was very good.
Later, when I went in,
he changed.
He received teachers and classmates.
Hongwei, tell us about yourself.
Your mother was persecuted for seven years.
At that time, you were only six years old, right?
How was life outside?
Your mother was not by your side.
You were only six years old.
What was your situation like?
My mother was not by my side.
Sometimes I heard
other neighbors say,
this child has no mother.
This child's mother was imprisoned
for practicing Falun Gong.
I heard this kind of speech every day.
I felt that I would have a certain impact on myself for a long time.
I felt inferior.
I felt like I was lower than others.
I felt inferior because I didn't have a mother.
I started to shut myself up and didn't dare to speak.
Then my personality became very introverted.
Yes, later, after I was released from prison for seven years,
the CCP still didn't give up.
They said I wouldn't give up in seven years.
But after I was released,
it was very troublesome for the children to study.
They said, because Hongwei was from Taiwan,
he couldn't study in mainland China.
They said, unless I wrote a guarantee,
that is, if I didn't practice Falun Gong,
I had to write a guarantee
so that I could study here.
I couldn't write a guarantee.
I said, we Falun Gong practitioners
can't be hypocrites, right?
That is to say, you have to give up your faith
so that Hongwei can continue to study.
If you don't give up your faith,
this child has no right to go to school here.
Right?
What did Hongwei do?
How did you decide?
Later, when we decided,
I said, let him go back to Taiwan.
Let him go back to Taiwan.
You said you would go back to Taiwan with the child.
Yes, I said I would send my son back to Taiwan.
Then we went to apply for a passport.
When we applied for a passport,
610 contacted the Department of Transportation
and said they wouldn't let me apply.
They said, if you want to apply for a passport,
you have to write a guarantee
so that you can apply for a passport.
You can't apply for a passport.
I applied for a passport, but I couldn't.
The child had to go back by himself.
At that time, all relatives were studying.
The child was so young,
I was worried.
He was so far away.
How could he go to Taiwan?
If he couldn't study here,
he couldn't study.
The child couldn't not study.
The child was so young.
If he couldn't study, what could he do?
I asked Hongwei if he dared to go back.
Hongwei was very sensible at the time.
He didn't want to embarrass me.
He said, if I dared, I would go back.
At that time, we decided to let him go back.
Hongwei, do you dare to go back to Taiwan?
Weren't you afraid at that time?
On the surface, I was grateful,
but I was still very afraid in my heart.
Because I had to go to Taiwan by myself.
It was a completely unfamiliar place.
I was quite afraid.
I remember before I left,
I was under a lot of pressure.
I couldn't even eat.
I kept asking my parents,
can I still come back?
Can I still see my parents?
Can I still come back?
Can I still see my parents?
The child's question broke the parents' hearts.
This pain of separation
was full of endless helplessness and sadness.
Just because his mother didn't give up,
he was forced to drop out of school
because of his true faith and pursuit of goodness.
He lost the right to live and the dignity of human beings.
This is the tragic picture of countless families
being persecuted because of their faith
under the Communist regime.
I remember my mother was suddenly crying.
She said to me, Hui, Hui, Hui.
Was your grandfather still alive when you went to Taiwan?
Yes, he was.
There were no relatives in Taiwan.
What did you do?
Who did you look for in Taiwan?
Did you think about this?
I told him to find a place to stay in Taiwan.
I told him to look for a friend in the morning.
There are many Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan.
I told him to look for a friend.
Because I believe that
Falun Gong practitioners are very kind.
They will definitely help children.
I told him that
Falun Gong practitioners are the safest and most reliable.
He was so brave.
I told him that I believe that Falun Gong practitioners
will definitely help children.
Did you tell Hongwei to go to Taiwan to look for Falun Gong practitioners?
Yes, yes.
Is this feasible?
At the end, I was very sad and reluctant.
I had just been released from prison.
I had to leave him again within a few months.
He has never had a mother's love since he was a child.
When I came back, he was with me.
Not only did he lose his mother,
but he also lost his father.
At the same time, he was alone.
I was very sad.
When he was about to leave,
he kept asking me.
I was very sad.
He said,
Mom, can I come back after I leave?
I was very sad.
He said, can I see you again?
I held back my tears.
I said,
Mom will see you soon.
I was very sad.
He couldn't eat.
He looked very anxious.
It was very scary.
He couldn't take it anymore.
I was very sad when I thought of this experience.
Very sad.
I left him when he was so young.
I was forced to leave him.
I cut off my mother's fingers.
After a few months, I had to cut off my mother's fingers again.
He was so young.
This is the first time you've been back to Taiwan since you were born, right?
Yes.
It was so far away by plane.
It was a completely unfamiliar place.
It was so far away by plane.
I saw him get on the plane with a suitcase.
I was very happy to see his father there.
His father's tears kept flowing.
Why have we been persecuted by the CCP?
I think Hongwei is really amazing.
What did you do after you arrived in Taiwan?
Did you really find a law school?
Yes.
I was very lucky.
When I was walking on the street,
I saw the Truth Exhibition of Falun Gong practitioners.
I was sure that they were Falun Gong practitioners.
So I went to the front to ask.
I told them about my experience.
They were very depressed after hearing it.
So I called my mother.
They called my mother to confirm if it was true.
Which year?
2009
Yes.
It was really hard to imagine.
This is the level of Falun Gong practitioners.
It's really hard to imagine.
A stranger came to receive you.
He arranged for you to stay in the dormitory.
It was very good for him.
It was like treating my own son.
They were very selfless.
They arranged for you to stay in the dormitory.
Yes.
How many years did you live in Taiwan?
Two years.
Sun Hongwei left the oppressive environment and came to Taiwan.
Here, he found kind Falun Gong practitioners.
Although they didn't know each other,
they accepted him without hesitation.
They took care of him like his own family.
They helped him to calm his mind.
With their care and help,
Hongwei's life underwent a new turn.
Hongwei, you are now an outstanding actor.
And you are a dancer, right?
That's great. I've seen you dance.
I was wondering how this process was.
You had already lived in Taiwan.
You were already familiar with it.
They didn't accept you.
They didn't recognize you.
They didn't give you your quota.
Then you came to Taiwan.
Under the acceptance of Falun Gong practitioners in Taiwan,
they treated you like their own family.
You lived there for two years.
You also studied there, right?
Then you got pregnant.
You came to America.
What kind of transition was that?
In 2010,
there was a branch school established in Taiwan.
I took the dance exam.
Then I started to learn dancing.
Do you like dancing?
I didn't like it at first.
How did you get through it?
After watching the film,
I saw how they did such a great thing
and exposed the CCP's persecution.
I wanted to join them.
I also wanted to expose the CCP's persecution.
Because I experienced it myself.
I thought it was more meaningful for me to do it.
I was very lucky.
There was a branch school established in Taiwan.
So I took the exam.
Then I started to learn dancing.
After a year,
I was accepted by the branch school
in the headquarters of the United States.
Then I moved to America.
After hearing your story,
all the staff here are crying.
He can't come to the world.
He doesn't have a place in China.
Hongwei, I'd like to ask you.
You came to America.
It's a different country.
How was your study and life there?
Can you tell us about it?
First of all, I felt that
studying in Africa was very different from
studying in Mainland China.
Because the environment here is very good.
Because everyone practices Falun Daga.
We all believe in the principle of
truth, kindness, and tolerance.
Every day's words and actions
should be based on truth, kindness, and tolerance.
When I get along with them,
I feel very relaxed.
It's not like in Mainland China,
where I have to keep an eye on others.
Under their influence,
I used to feel inferior.
But at the beginning,
I was gradually resolved by them.
The traditional Chinese culture of 5,000 years
has been passed down from generation to generation
But it is still popularized in the United States.
Right?
Hongwei, what do you think about this?
Since the CCP came to power,
it has cut off the connection between man and God
and promoted the theory of no God.
When I was in China,
I was not taught about faith, Buddhism, or Taoism.
I was taught about the theory of no God,
about farmers fighting for land,
about students fighting for teachers,
and about class struggle.
Before the CCP came to China,
China was based on the theory of no God,
about faith, Buddhism, and Taoism.
That was the real Chinese traditional culture.
God's will is being promoted in the United States,
and the real Chinese traditional culture will be restored.
It also reveals that China is being persecuted.
It is the same with the persecution of Falun Gong.
Falun Gong is a kind of faith.
It is also something that we Chinese should have.
Hongwei, what do you think you have learned in the God's Will?
In fact, for you,
without this persecution today,
you may have done another job.
Maybe you would not have been an excellent dancer.
So, what have you learned in the God's Will?
In the God's Will,
I have not only learned about the cultural aspects,
but also learned how to be a good person.
We are all Dharma practitioners,
and we all seek to be good people.
In the God's Will,
I would like to thank the God's Will.
In the God's Will, I have found my goal in life.
I think that people come to this world
not only for the sake of a temporary life,
but also to find what they want to do,
and what they like to do.
In the God's Will,
I feel that I have found my purpose in this world,
which is to participate in the God's Will,
to restore the Chinese traditional culture,
and to expose the persecution in China.
In fact, the CCP is very evil.
Its persecution does not only happen in mainland China.
In fact, when we perform abroad,
we restore the traditional culture,
and then expose the CCP's persecution.
The CCP is actually quite afraid of us.
When we perform,
it will write a letter to the theater,
saying that we can't let them perform,
or it will cut off our connections.
Sometimes, it will also destroy the vehicles for our performance,
so that we can't perform normally.
Basically, their evil means have not affected us,
but they have also caused us a lot of loss.
So it's quite difficult for us to come all the way here.
I want to make the foreign audience realize that
the CCP is not only in China,
but also in the whole world.
It is infiltrating and using those bad means.
In my own experience,
I have been persecuted,
so I feel more obliged to expose this persecution.
What else do you want to say to the audience?
I want to thank the Dharma students in Taiwan
for accepting me as a stranger,
and taking me as their uncle.
I really appreciate them from the bottom of my heart.
They are my benefactors and benefactors in my life.
I also want to thank the U.S. government.
The U.S. government has given us a free and cultivated environment,
and it has also allowed the Shenyun Art Troupe to be established in the U.S.,
to travel around the world, and to spread Buddhism.
It is precisely because of the U.S. government
that we have the opportunity to come to the U.S.,
to live a legal life in the U.S.,
and to reunite as a family.
Yes, yes.
Just now, your son said that you came to the U.S. later.
After reuniting,
our children have really changed a lot.
I really want to thank the Dharma.
Because when he was persecuted there,
he became introverted and self-abased.
After he met me,
he became a completely different person.
He is filial and sensible.
And he is very special.
We are all envious of him.
He is so sensible.
He is very sensible.
He said that in the Shenyun school,
he taught the traditional culture of returning to the Buddha.
He taught how to be filial to elders.
He did it very well.
He is very good to us.
He is sensible.
His self-abasement has come out.
I am very fortunate that he became a member of the Shenyun school.
I also became a Dharma practitioner.
I can still live a happy life here in the U.S.
and reunite as a family.
Hongwei, please say something to the audience.
What is your outlook on life?
I hope that the Shenyun school can return to mainland China as soon as possible.
After all, it is the birthplace of Chinese traditional culture.
I also hope that the CCP can stop persecuting the Falun Gong.
So that countless Dharma practitioners in China
can have the right to freedom of belief.
I also hope that families like mine who have been persecuted
can reunite as a family.
Mother, Zhu Yuanzhu, and Hongwei,
now that you have reunited in the U.S.,
I hope that you can truly live your true selves.
I hope that your life will be better.
Okay?
Thank you.
Thank you very much for being on our show.
Thank you very much for watching.
See you next time.
Hongwei!
It's still Zhou Quan you're thinking about.
The first impression is the most important.
Dad.
Mom.
You're back.
Dad, you've gotten younger.
Of course.
Your dad is already in his 60s.
Uncle and auntie are so young.
They look exactly like Zhao Quan.
