The Cherokee community appreciates the blessings and challenges of each season. The term otsaliheliga (oh-jah-LEE-hay-lee-gah) is used by the Cherokee Nation to convey thankfulness. Starting in the fall with the new year and concluding in summer, this narrative covers a complete Cherokee year of festivities and events.
