"Monkey King Adventures: The Rise of the King" is a fantasy-adventure animated series based on the traditional Chinese classic "Journey to the West". The 12-episode first season follows the journey of a young monkey born from a magical stone as he rises to become the fearless Monkey King. Along the way, he gains extraordinary powers, battles demons, dragons, and gods, discovers his strength, and learns from his mistakes.

More than just another adaptation, this animated series stays true to the original story and spirit of "Journey to the West" while reimagining its epic journey as a fun, magical adventure that children from all cultural backgrounds can understand, learn from, love, and share.
