"My hands were swollen, and I felt so much pain that I didn’t want to live," said Yu Wensheng, a lawyer, after three months in a Chinese detention center.

This isn’t a quote from a novel. This is now. This is China. And these are not isolated incidents. These are pieces of a horrifying mosaic.

Across the world, we grow up believing in the dignity of human life, the freedom to think, believe, and speak. But in the heart of China, a silent genocide is unfolding—largely ignored, rarely acknowledged, and terrifyingly real.

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP), under a veil of control and secrecy, has orchestrated a campaign of systematic brutality. Its victims? Not criminals. Not rebels. But ordinary men and women whose only "crime" is practicing Falun Gong, a peaceful spiritual practice rooted in truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.

Let that sink in: Truthfulness. Compassion. Tolerance.
Persecuted. Tortured. Killed.

Why? Because Falun Gong’s soaring popularity, offering spiritual clarity and independence, threatened the CCP’s iron grip on ideological control. On July 20, 1999, the crackdown began. What followed was a darkness most of us can’t even imagine.

A Billion-Dollar Horror

This persecution didn’t stop at imprisonment or beatings. It evolved—into something even more monstrous.

Because Falun Gong practitioners are typically healthy and nonviolent, the regime found them to be perfect candidates for a profitable industry: forced organ harvesting. Victims are selected, detained, and—when a matching recipient is found—systematically killed for their kidneys, livers, hearts, lungs.

These organs are sold on the black market or through China’s “official” transplant system. Patients from around the world come to China for transplants… sometimes within days. No waiting lists. No donors. Just silent deaths.

International investigators David Kilgour, David Matas, and Ethan Gutmann revealed chilling statistics: 640 transplants in just 10 days at a single hospital—yet only 30 official donors.

In 2020, the China Tribunal, chaired by Sir Geoffrey Nice KC, concluded that this horrific practice was not only real, but ongoing. Sir Geoffrey’s haunting words still echo:
“Very many people have died indescribably hideous deaths.”

And more will—unless we speak out.

This Is Not Just About China

This is what happens when telling the truth becomes a punishable offense.
When meditation is treated as subversion.
When compassion is labeled dangerous.
When the world looks away because it's easier than facing evil.

But the people inside China are not looking away. Falun Gong practitioners—every single day—choose courage over comfort. They risk their lives to smuggle truth out of the darkness.

They are not asking for money.
They are not seeking revenge.
They only want the world to know.
