There’s a new variant of COVID-19, known as BA.2.86, or “Eris.” Various news outlets are framing it as being a new risk, and concerns are circulating that it could trigger governments to revive some COVID restrictions. Meanwhile, Evergrande Group—one of China's largest real estate companies—has filed for bankruptcy in New York. And in other news, overnight country music star Oliver Anthony says he turned down millions in offers after his song went viral.
In this live Q&A with Crossroads host Joshua Philipp, we’ll discuss this story and others, and answer questions from the audience.
Good morning, everybody.
All right, some big stuff to talk about.
It's making sure we're live.
Last time I was having some issues,
but it looks like everything is good.
And I want to talk to you today about, well,
the next big agenda.
It's almost election season.
2024 is right around the corner,
and you know what that means.
The new lockdown program.
They are rolling out, it seems, the new agenda.
And I'm calling it, that's what it is.
There's a new variant of COVID spreading right now
called ARIS.
It is infecting a couple people, literally.
I think there's one case in Israel.
They're making a big deal about it.
The concern is that they say it has more of the spike
proteins that can infect human cells.
And they're watching it, they're studying it.
Already as we speak, there's talk of hospitals,
for example, bringing back mask mandates.
There's talk, for example, of TSA beginning
to enforce new policies.
And the rumor and concern is that these will gradually
expand to bring back, essentially,
the full force of all the policies we witnessed before,
just in time for election season.
Which would then give them special powers to, again,
do what they did last election season.
That being said, let's talk about it.
Some of it's rumor, let's be clear.
Some of it's grounded.
But I would say that even the rumors are well-founded,
at least in terms of being plausible.
Let me explain.
First off, here is Reuters.
August 19th, ARIS BA-2286.
Do I need to worry about COVID again?
It says the World Health Organization,
we all know how credible they are,
and the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention,
also we know how credible they are,
are tracking a new mutated lineage of the virus
that causes COVID-19.
Six cases in four countries have been
detected since late July.
Folks, you hear that?
Six cases.
Six people have gotten sick in the entire world.
And they're tracking it like it's the next big thing.
Six people get sick.
Six people on the entire face of the earth.
And they're treating this.
It's all over the media.
It's all over just about every establishment news outlet.
TSA, Border Patrol, allegedly, if you've been listening to.
Even the hospitals are now treating it very seriously.
They're talking about bringing back some mandates.
Media, in terms of surface level projection,
in terms of surface level narratives,
are also talking about this.
And they're questioning as well whether new mandates
or other thing are now necessitated, literally,
by six cases of an outbreak on the entire face of the earth.
Now, among those six people on the entire face of the earth
who've gotten sick, and hey, it's flu season.
You'd kind of expect a little more than that.
Yeah, six people getting sick with the flu during flu season.
I mean, lordy, what are we going to do?
But it's not even clear what their conditions are
or how much it's affecting them.
There's just no data on it.
Half of it's just speculation.
But it says, so far, there is no evidence
that BA-286 spreads faster or causes more serious illness
than previous versions.
The CDC said its advice on protecting yourself
from COVID remains the same, which still, by the way,
includes mask mandates and vaccinating yourself
and everything else.
You can run YouTube so I can say,
use your own judgment based on the observable efficacy.
It says this, but many countries have drastically
reduced testing of patients and their efforts
to analyze the genome of the virus, causing new COVID cases.
And this is going to be important.
I'll explain why.
In that situation, the trajectory of BA-286
doesn't look good right now, given
the speed at which new cases are being identified,
said Dr. Eric Topol, a genomics expert and director
of the Scripps Research Translational Institute
in La Jolla, California.
And its many mutations make BA-286 radically different
in its structure compared to earlier variants, Topol said.
And notes US emergency department visits
and hospitalizations for COVID remain low,
but have been rising since early July,
according to data on the CDC website.
Now, let me explain to you what's happening.
The big narrative on why the CDC and the World Health
Organization were saying that justifies
keeping the law, keeping the emergency order in place
for COVID-19.
The narrative they had for it was that the emergency powers
allow for tracking, data analyzing,
let's call it extrajudicial or outside of the Constitution
powers that they normally don't have.
Now, many of us, including myself,
would argue these things are violations of basic rights.
And you should not be able to institute those powers
and strip people of basic rights
unless there's something of major serious danger,
you know, like a large scale war
or something is actually causing mass numbers of deaths.
Say, maybe the vaccine for this case, right?
Unless you have like a serious, serious emergency
that is not addressable by any other means,
only under that extremely rare condition,
would it be justified, in my opinion,
to institute a standard, an emergency declaration
that could override the way
that the country is meant to function,
including the way our Constitution is meant to work,
including, for example, the basic protections
we have over privacy
and the sovereignty we have over our own bodies,
something I believe should never be violated
even in a state of emergency, actually, personally.
The concern, though, is that they're saying,
literally, there's six cases.
They're making a big story out of nothing, in my opinion.
Six cases, you know, you have like malaria coming back,
and there's, I think, just a couple cases.
You know, you have dengue fever coming back
probably because they threw the borders wide open,
and they're importing people, literally,
by the hundreds of thousands.
I believe in July alone,
250,000 illegal crossings into the United States.
Now, I would argue that if they actually wanted to fight
against, you know, virus outbreaks and unforeseen pandemics,
they would do, you know, restore basic border security
and begin screening people for, for example,
deadly pathogens that don't exist in the US,
you know, third-world diseases
that have been otherwise eradicated, which they're not.
Raises question also of why, while most of us
were locked in our own homes under COVID policy,
while most of us had to wear face masks and so on,
you had people literally flooding the border,
literally by the millions over the last couple years,
and, you know, the policies don't apply there.
Why Obama could have a party with his, you know,
friends and family or whatever, you know,
hundreds of people, and not have to wear face masks.
He only wanted to bring face masks for the servants.
Or why, for example, Governor Gavin Newsom
can tell everybody to lock down,
but have like a, you know,
several hundred dollar dinner with his friends,
and, you know, rules for thee and not for me.
If, if, if these politicians,
and if the people making the policies believe
that it is safe enough for them to make such decisions,
if they believe it's safe enough for them
to mingle with friends and have big parties
and not wear face masks and not follow basic protocols
everybody else does, it means that looking at data
that is informing their decisions,
and based on the way that they're interpreting that data,
it, based on their actions,
does not justify the policies they're putting in place.
It means that on a personal level,
they don't believe that it's enough of a threat to them
or the people they care about,
their close friends and associates and family members,
that would necessitate the policies
they're forcing on everybody else, my personal opinion.
That being said, though, the concerning part for me
is even though they're saying six virus,
six cases literally on the entire face of the earth,
the narrative they're using is that
we don't have the tracking and the data policies,
we don't have, we don't have the type of
monitoring programs in place for an outbreak
to know whether it's bad or not.
They're saying that while COVID,
while COVID cases have remained low,
and while we've only detected six cases of this new,
they call it the ARIS variant,
that we actually don't know how bad it is
because the tracking systems that would be enabled
through an emergency declaration are not currently in place.
The suggestion being it could be bad,
but you need to pass it to find out how bad it is.
You see what I mean?
It's kind of like when they announced Obamacare
and they were trying to put the package through
and Nancy Pelosi goes,
you gotta pass it to find out what's in it.
You gotta pass it to find out what's in it.
It's a surprise package.
You gotta give us the powers to find out how bad it is.
No, we don't know if there's a serious health outbreak,
but you need to surrender your basic rights
in order to find out if there is one.
Yeah, great idea.
Where do I sign up?
You know what I mean?
This is what it looks like they're doing right now,
at least in my opinion.
Let me show you another piece to this.
Times of Israel says this, talking about the nature there,
because one of the outbreak,
I think one of the cases is in Israel.
I'll tell you in a minute.
It says health organizations worldwide
monitoring Omicron variant with over 30 spike mutations.
Experts say it's too early to know its impact.
Again, it's all speculative.
They're suggesting could be bad,
and that's the way they're slow boiling the frog,
in my opinion.
But it says a new COVID variant detected in Israel
is being tracked by health authorities worldwide.
The variant sequenced in Israel and Denmark in late July
has now also appeared in Michigan in the United States.
The World Health Organization, SARS-CoV-2,
or COVID-19, Virus Evolution Advisory Group,
has designated the novel variant known as BA286
as a variant under monitoring, VUM,
variant under monitoring, due to its many mutations.
The U.S. Center for Disease Control is also monitoring it.
Only one case, one case of BA286
has been reported in Israel thus far.
One case, and they're reacting like this.
A single case, one person.
It notes as well that even despite that one case
coming about, they don't even fully know
the well-being or impact on the person.
Now, I can tell you right now that if it was serious,
if the person died, if the person was hospitalized
and in critical condition, they'd probably tell us.
And one thing we also know is that typically
with any kind of virus outbreak,
over time, they tend to become more virulent.
As we've been told previously,
COVID-19 is now an endemic state.
It's gonna be an annual flu, essentially.
And just like the common cold, notably,
which is why they can't fully vaccinate against it,
it changes every year.
And so we're gonna have a new variant every single year.
And you could expect that every single year,
maybe one person or two people or maybe six people
on the entire face of the Earth
are probably gonna get sick with something that is endemic
and is gonna reemerge every flu season.
There'll probably be more out.
There'll probably be more cases.
We'll probably have, you know, probably thousands
or if not more globally.
Because the nature, probably more than that, actually.
Because the nature of these viruses, you know, COVID virus,
as we've been told previously by, ironically,
the same health authorities suggesting
they know exactly what they're talking about,
the nature of such viruses is that they become
more virulent and less deadly as time goes on
and as they begin to mutate more.
Now, that's not to say that it may not do something
totally unpredictable.
Let's not write that off entirely.
But question is whether the reaction is justified
by what's currently being seen.
Now, that being said, there are rumors circulating,
mostly among conservatives, that, of course,
this is gonna be the beginning of something,
basically the slow boiling of a frog
to bring back full lockdown policies.
This actually originated with InfoWars.
Alex Jones did a big piece, exclusive piece,
exclusive piece, you know, he does, exclusive,
where he, of course, interviewed a person.
He had a TSA whistleblower come forward
and the TSA whistleblower told him
that they would begin bringing back policies,
for example, mask mandates and so on.
They corroborated that claim with someone
from Border Patrol who said that they're implementing
similar policies within Border Patrol.
Now, you could expect, of course,
travel-related jobs such as that and hospitals.
People dealing with cases would be, of course,
implementing those policies.
The irony is that Border Patrol is dealing
with the travel of hundreds of thousands,
if not millions, of illegal aliens.
You can imagine they'll probably have some concern
over virus outbreaks, especially since we're seeing
the reemergence of actual, like, otherwise extinct
in the, you know, civilized world viruses.
We're seeing third-world diseases reappear
in the United States, and I would argue
it's probably because of this.
In fact, my good friend, who I did a lot of investigations
with, Michael Yon, does a lot of border reporting.
He and I, of course, were together doing the investigations
on the special feature I did called Border Deception
on the United Nations' involvement in the border crisis.
He goes down to the Darien Gap a lot, Panama,
which is one of the main hubs to facilitate
mass human trafficking into the United States.
And he was saying last time he was down there,
there were infirmary camps.
And he's, I mean, he took video and photos of it.
There were dead people.
There were people just totally paralyzed, basically,
with whatever diseases they were infected with.
He says that he had never seen anything like that before
on any of his previous trips,
and he's been doing this for years.
And given that, he was warning, this is coming to America.
The virus outbreaks that they're watching
in Latin America right now, through the mass migration
of people being promised, ironically,
free healthcare in America, if they can make it here,
that this is coming to America.
And of course, what happens when the government
literally throws the border wide open,
the Biden administration's even auctioning off iron
at this point, and you tell people,
we'll give you free housing, free food,
you won't even have to work, we'll give you free healthcare,
you'll get better treatment than an American citizen.
What's gonna happen?
Well, all the people who wanna live off the government
or just are dying of a serious disease
or have another ailment that they need treatment for,
they're gonna come here.
And it looks like that's what you're seeing, frankly.
Now, that being said,
what is being alleged among conservatives?
Again, I think Alex Jones was the first to have it,
but you saw it get picked up
by most of the conservative outlets.
A lot of the big talking heads are talking about it.
It's become viral within that sphere.
They're saying it's gonna be incremental restrictions.
The allegation is that there's gonna be broader mask mandates
for flights leading up to mid-October.
You could start seeing some of these policies mid-September.
Allegedly, this is through the TSA whistleblower.
And then there's gonna be a gradual broadening
until they fully bring back the restrictions.
The claim is that, of course,
last time they did it a little too quickly.
And people, of course, while they went along with it
through more of a shock and awe campaign,
and were like, oh, geez, we don't know what we're up against,
people now kind of have a general idea
of what they're up against.
And so the belief is that people will accept things
if they're rolled out slowly.
Oh, I have to wear a face mask when I'm on the bus.
Oh, I have to wear a face mask when I'm on the airplane.
Oh, maybe my kids at school have to wear face masks.
Oh, my workplace now says I have to wear a face mask.
Uh-oh, looks like it's everywhere.
Uh-oh, looks like we need a new vaccine.
Oh, luckily they have a new vaccine.
Looks like we all have to take it.
If you don't take it, you get fired.
Uh-oh, looks like we have to remake
every election law in the United States.
Hey, just in time for 2024.
You know, cha-ching, and there you go.
You know, that's the allegation of how it will roll out.
And in some ways, that's how we saw it be done last time.
Regardless, though, the nature of the argument you hear,
the reading between the lines does suggest this.
Because as I mentioned, when we're looking at the claims
of the CDC, hey, there's only six cases,
but we don't actually know how bad it is.
We don't actually know how many people are being infected
because you took away our powers to monitor it.
And if you want to monitor it
so we can find out how bad it actually is,
you need to give us those powers back.
That's the narrative that's being used
to push for the justifying of the return,
at least of the emergency declaration.
That being said, I'm not going to comply.
And I think neither are a lot of people.
All right, that said, let's jump over to Epoch TV
after I said a lot of things
YouTube probably not like me for.
Again, we're also still heavily censored on YouTube.
We're there, the channel's mostly frozen, we're demonetized,
and there's a lot of stuff I can't talk about on YouTube.
I have to restrain myself ever a tiny bit.
Although I'm not very good at that to be on, but that said.
Jump over to Epoch TV, come join us, we'll do a Q&A.
And of course, we'll talk about some other stories
happening right now.
Also, again, you can watch a lot of special features
that I cannot show you on YouTube
because we tend to talk about topics
they don't like on YouTube that they will ban us for.
So come over to Epoch TV.
We have a flash sale right now,
literally 25 cents, one quarter.
It's like when you're at the supermarket
and you can buy a gumball.
For the price of a gumball,
you can learn about all the COVID policies,
the real story of J6, and the many, many other stories
that are being hidden from the public.
There's a lot that we cannot tell you
that is deeply censored on Facebook, YouTube,
just about every other social media,
and by Big Tech, and by Google,
which by the way, just rolled out brand new policies
on censorship.
Notably as well, just in time for the new
six cases globally variant that just came out,
YouTube and Google, parent company of course,
Alphabet Corporation owns both of them.
They just rolled out new censorship policies
saying that anybody who deviates from not only
COVID narratives or WHO narratives,
but the health authorities of any nation
will be deemed censorable, essentially.
Meaning you can't talk about anything
outside the spectrum of approved narrative
when it comes to this stuff.
So join us on Epoch TV,
where we do not have such restrictions,
and we frequently go against such restrictions.
To tell you the truth, again, one quarter,
price of a gumball per week,
it's not much at all, come on.
Join us, Epoch TV, link in the description.
Let me show you a quick trailer,
then we'll jump into a couple more stories
and then questions.
I'll see you there.
Bye.
What was the process of actually putting this all together?
Many, many hours of finding the right camera angles and watching it.
The first trouble started just after one o'clock.
45 pages, here it is right here.
Donald Trump has been indicted.
A somber day for the country.
This all happened before President Trump's speech was over.
The founder of the Oath Keepers Militia Group
is headed to prison for more than 18 years.
His lawyers didn't have this video.
The video we're watching right now, his own lawyers did not have.
There was a big question of what did the people do
who actually did enter the building.
This is where we picked it up with the security footage that is new.
At this point, the story dramatically changes.
The New Jersey man who assaulted a Capitol police officer
on January 6th has been sentenced.
So this was withheld.
This was not shown to the defense.
That could be considered exculpatory evidence.
This doesn't seem like what a lot of the media is showing.
It's going to change narratives no matter what your political perspective is.
What we're after is the truth.
