Lindsey Stirling is an American violinist, dancer, and composer, known for her unique blend of classical music, electronic music, and dance. She was born on September 21, 1986, in Santa Ana, California, and grew up in Gilbert, Arizona.
Stirling began playing the violin at the age of five and started taking classical lessons when she was six. She initially pursued a career in music and attended Brigham Young University, where she studied music therapy. However, she later decided to pursue a career as a solo artist.
Stirling gained widespread attention in 2010 when she appeared on the fifth season of the reality competition show "America's Got Talent," where she was known as the "hip-hop violinist."
