The U.S. economy added 165,000 jobs in October, and the country's unemployment rate dropped to 4.1%, according to the federal government's monthly employment report.
The jobs and unemployment rate numbers exceeded economists' expectations.
Although the numbers exceed predictions, the new jobs and unemployment numbers changed little in October, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics report.
The unemployment rate has remained in a narrow range of 4.1 percent to 4.3 percent since March, the report also states. The rate for September was 4.1%.
