By Diane Sori / The Patriot FactorAs I reflect back to what was Tuesday's Republican "political bloodbath," these five key points come to mind.

First: We Republicans now having officially lost both the House and the Senate really need to “grow a set” and start taking responsibility for our actions, while at the same time “getting off our knees,” if we are to have any chance of winning the presidency in 2028…and that includes NO…absolutely NO…Israel-hating JD Vance on the ticket…in my opinion.

Second: Trump and his misplaced crew of advisors did indeed want to make the midterm election all about him as they foolishly believed that would be the key to Republican success. And so Trump did the rallies…he was constantly on TV…as he thought his overinflated theatrical in style ego could help convince people to vote Republican on Election Day. But to put it bluntly, Trump failed miserably as it was his misplaced “I, I, I, it’s all about me” crude and unpolished persona; his lack of any true oratory skills; his overall self-perceived “I’m smarter than you” demeanor; coupled with his many promises made but NOT kept in regards to both the economy and the Iran War; that actually caused we Republicans to lose it all.

And I couldn’t wait to hear Trump’s excuses for this absolutely horrendous loss…as I knew he’d find a way to blame said loss on everyone but himself, which as expected he surely did.

Third: We know President Reagan inherited a “bad economy” from Jimmy Carter and yet he was able to turn things around. Trump inherited a bad economy from Joe Biden…nobody is denying that…but what Trump did with his misguided overinflated tariffs, and his turning the war’s focus away from Iran’s nuclear ambitions and focusing instead on morphing the situation into a war over control of the Strait of Hormuz and oil, did force the voters pocketbooks to do their voting for them. Sad, but a true fact indeed.

Fourth: Another loser last night that people seem to have forgotten about is the Supreme Court. Remember, the Democrats will once again try to either stack the court numbers wise as the means by which to gain a Democrat majority, or we might actually see some Republican justices retiring, thus leaving their seats needing to be filled. But the problem for Republicans here is that no matter whom Trump nominates will more than likely be turned down.

Many folks did not stop to think about all the possible ramifications of the Democrats gaining what is now absolute power before they cast their votes. And remember, Trump‘s promise to “veto” all that Democrats propose can only go so far, because as it now looks it’s possible that Democrats can still reach the 60 votes needed to negative any of Trump’s votes.

Fifth: Here’s another thing few folks think about, but it does affect a great number of savvy people…as in yesterday’s “stock market” having gone through the proverbial roof.

Why so…because now “the market” finally has their own version of a must needed system of “checks and balances” in place in that one party is now decidedly in control government wise as “the market” tends not to respond well to war, and has been no fan of Trump’s ad-nauseam, “one day we’re doing this, the next day we’re doing that” scenario in reegards to the still ongoing war with Iran. In fact, the market in general does not see Trump as making rational, tangible, or reality based decisions in regards to what’s happening on the all important international stage.

And Trump himself, via his in-actions, has literally made “the market” quite “unstable.” And now with his loss of total governmental control, Trump’s aforementioned “veto power” can only go so far to help “the market” respond positively to the election decision made on Tuesday night especially now with the totality and finality of that decision having already helped to stabilize” the market.”

How so…by what’s called a “clarity of projections” coupled with governing decisions finally having to be made one way or the other, thus resulting in what the “stock market” views as a so called “cleansing event” for both investors and speculators.

And now, at least for some lucky investors, a modicum of good has come out of what was a totally unexpected “Blue Wave” scenario…a scenario resulting in a full-out Republican political disaster…a disaster so great it could well be one for the history books. Enough said, case closed.
