Gigi Perez Releases ‘Favor’ for ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ Soundtrack, Reveals Song’

Gigi Perez has unveiled a new original track created specifically for the soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.

The 26-year-old singer released “Favor” at midnight on Friday (October 30). She is among several artists contributing newly recorded songs to the album accompanying the upcoming film.

Perez previously expressed her excitement about joining the project in an Instagram post shared days before the release.

“For as long as i can remember, I’ve loved the Hunger Games. I’m so incredibly honored to be a part of this next chapter,” she wrote.

In a separate statement, the singer discussed the personal meaning behind the track and how the franchise influenced her growing up.

“It is truly an honor to have created a song for The Hunger Games. I’ve been greatly impacted by the stories told through The Hunger Games since I was 12 years old,” Perez said.

She explained that creating “Favor” gave her an opportunity to reveal a more personal side of herself, incorporating emotions connected to loss and the desire to reunite with people she loves who are no longer alive.

“Writing this song allowed me to share another part of who I am, drawing from my own experiences with grief and the longing to reconnect with the ones I love who are no longer on this earth. It is a privilege to share something so personal within a story that has meant so much to me for so long,” she added.

Perez collaborated with Aidan Hobbs on both the songwriting and production of “Favor.”

The singer also has a connection to another performer featured on the upcoming The Hunger Games soundtrack. She previously toured as a supporting act for Noah Kahan, who has also contributed an original song to the film.

Earlier this month, The Smashing Pumpkins released another new track for the soundtrack.

The complete The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping soundtrack is scheduled to arrive on November 13th. The film will follow with its theatrical debut on November 20th.

Meanwhile, Perez previously achieved significant recognition on TikTok, with “Sailor Song” ranking among the platform’s top ten trending songs worldwide in 2025.
