Tristan Luneau had a goal and two assists as the visiting Anaheim Ducks snapped a five-game losing streak with a 5-4 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

Leo Carlsson chipped in with a goal and an assist against the team that signed him to a five-year, $90 million offer sheet over the summer. Anaheim ultimately matched the deal, making the 21-year-old the highest paid player in the league.

Matvei Michkov scored his seventh and eighth goals for Philadelphia, which had won three straight since losing its first nine contests. Porter Martone had a goal and an assist and Tyson Foerster also scored for the Flyers, while Trevor Zegras recorded two assists against his former team.

The Ducks took a 5-3 lead with two goals early in the third period. The go-ahead tally was Luneau’s first of the season on a seemingly harmless shot that snuck past Joseph Woll two minutes into the period. Beckett Sennecke then created a two-goal lead when he tipped home a feed from Carlsson for a power-play goal at 7:10.

Just over a minute later, Michkov poked in a loose puck to bring the Flyers within 5-4. Philadelphia never seriously threatened down the stretch, despite getting a power play for the final 40.7 seconds.

Anaheim’s Sam Colangelo and A.J. Greer took simultaneous minor penalties with 6:19 left in the first period — a sequence that led to two Philadelphia goals. Michkov scored first on a shot through traffic with the Flyers skating 5-on-3 at 13:59, and then Martone scored on a great setup from Travis Sanheim on the ensuing 5-on-4 at 15:02.

The Ducks got on the board midway through the second period, as Cutter Gauthier stole the puck behind the net and found Carlsson for a goal. Greer tied it less than five minutes later, but the Flyers answered right back.

Foerster gave the hosts a 3-2 lead with a short-handed goal against Lukas Dostal at 15:04. But the visitors responded just over a minute later as Judd Caulfield tipped in a centering pass by Alex Killorn to create a 3-3 tie.

Anaheim received a power play late in the second period, but Woll held firm with back-to-back terrific saves against Gauthier.

Woll finished with 21 saves for the Flyers, while Dostal turned aside 28 shots for the Ducks.
