Sean “Diddy” Combs’ prison release date has been pushed back by several weeks amid allegations he’d been living a pampered lifestyle behind bars.

The disgraced music mogul is now scheduled to be freed on March 2, 2028, according to Bureau of Prisons records cited by multiple media outlets.

Combs, who is currently behind bars at New Jersey’s FCI Fort Dix, was ordered to spend 50 months in prison after he was found guilty in July 2025 of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution following a federal sex trafficking trial in New York. His initial release date was set for June 4, 2028, but it has been pushed up several times since then, with officials citing his good behavior.

The release date had previously been set for Jan. 21, 2028.

The change comes after NBC published a report last month alleging the Bad Boys Records founder had a rotating staff of fellow inmates, hired to do chores like cooking, cleaning, making his bed, doing his laundry and even giving him Chinese-style massages. The claims were made by four inmates who apparently inhabit the same unit as the Grammy-winner, including one who cooked for Combs on makeshift heating elements, offering up dishes like curry chicken, pizza and empanadas.

Other inmates were tasked with things like housing his fan mail and safeguarding his contraband cell phone, which he reportedly used to scroll Instagram and look at nude photos.

Shortly after the news broke, Diddy was placed in solitary housing pending the outcome of an investigation into the matter.

His rep, Juda Engelmayer,  pushed back on the report.

“The continued scrutiny of every mundane detail of Sean Combs’s life in prison has reached the point where the media characterizes ordinary prison life as news,” Engelmayer said. “The only real news is that Sean continues to serve his sentence within the rules and he patiently awaits the court’s decision on his appeal.”

According to People, Diddy remained in the special housing unit as of Friday morning.
