Los Angeles — Taylor Swift has announced that actors Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell will appear alongside her in the music video for her new song “Patient Zero.”
Swift shared a brief teaser featuring the three performers in a series of dramatic, cinematic scenes. The complete music video is scheduled to debut during the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on September 27 in Los Angeles.
“Patient Zero” is included on The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, an expanded edition of Swift’s previous album that adds four songs: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.”
Swift said the additional tracks were created during a later creative session with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback in Sweden.
The singer is also set to receive the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors, which recognizes her work behind the camera on music videos and other visual projects.
