Yu Menglong Replies to Remember Me #VoiceFromAnotherShore
Perhaps you are like Yu En—a person surrounded by relatives and friends who love you and who were willing to sacrifice their own virtue to help you eliminate your karma. What we need to do is thank them for giving us the opportunity to eliminate our karma, thank them for giving us virtue, thank them for helping us improve, and thank them for helping us return to the path of cultivation.

The theme of this edition of Voice From Another Shore is “Yu Menglong: Inviting You to Share Your Thoughts on the First Anniversary of My Passing”
Below is Remember Me’s message and Yu Menglong’s reply.
Remember Me’s Message
My Old Friend,
Over the past year, I have repeatedly hesitated deep in my heart, unsure whether I should put these long-held thoughts into words. In the end, however, the voice within me drew me forward, and I gently began to write them down.
The Soul’s Script and Signposts: An Awakening Journey of One Living Far from Home
In this lifetime, I find myself on the other side of the Earth, separated from you by an immense physical distance.
And yet, without any publicity or deliberate guidance, I somehow found my way to this platform through the invisible bridge of the internet—precisely and unmistakably.
Somewhere deep within, a powerful intuition tells me that our connection originated in the higher realm.
We were once the closest of friends, bound together through life and death. Back then, I made you a promise: no matter where I might be in the future, I would find this platform and quietly remain here, watching over you and following your journey.
Today, I have come as promised.
I have read and reread every article on the platform. The stories of reincarnation, the particular terms and phrases—all of them seem like pieces of a long-lost puzzle, gradually coming together and awakening memories of my true existence in the higher realm that had long been sealed away.
In particular, the recent revelation concerning “the great historical drama and the allocation of roles”—that throughout the five-thousand-year course of civilization, some souls were chosen by the higher realm to descend into the world and play undesirable roles, even committing wrongdoings, so that people could understand the truth of cause and effect between good and evil and recognize the preciousness of good deeds—instantly untied a knot that had troubled me for many years.
I. Seeds Planted in Childhood and the Resonance of Trauma Through Dark Years
I was born in a place where belief in the divine was absent. Fortunately, however, I encountered Dafa as a child. I once followed my family into a lecture hall and listened to Master teach the Fa from close by.
Those were the purest and happiest days of my life. Every sentence in the books seemed to be engraved directly into my cells. I accepted it completely and felt genuine joy.
That seed of faith was planted in me from childhood and has accompanied me throughout my entire life.
Yet the frenzied persecution that followed, the constant fear, and sudden upheavals within my family forced me, as a child, to bear a weight that no life should have had to endure.
The powerful sense of justice deep within me collided painfully with the cold and cruel reality around me, leaving me deeply suppressed, with anger I did not dare to express.
Carrying far too much emotional burden, I eventually became mentally disoriented and sank into depression, to the point where I had to rely on medication simply to get through each day.
That period was unbearably long and painful. There were even several times when I wanted to end my life, yet deep within my heart I always remained clearly aware that doing so would be wrong.
I also fell into a long and absurd period of indulgence, allowing my soul to wander in confusion.
During those years, my body and mind remained in an abnormal state for a prolonged period.
It felt as though my brain had lost its sharpness, remaining for long stretches in a numb, half-conscious fog.
What troubled me most was the severe disconnect between my conscious awareness and my physical behavior.
In daily life, my thoughts were extremely unclear. At times, I could not properly direct or control my own physical actions. It was as though I were separated from my own body, having lost control over it.
This prolonged sense of “mind-body dissociation” severely affected my ordinary life and ability to think.
For several years, I was drawn into the vortex of homosexuality, as though I had become confused and wandered into a cave filled with wolves and venomous snakes that had been carefully prepared long before.
Yet throughout those years, there was always a voice deep within me reminding me: This is absolutely not the life I truly desire.
The principles of Dafa planted in my childhood had already taken deep root. No matter how fiercely the storms of life battered me, that seed never truly went out. It was merely covered temporarily by dust.
When I read about Xiao Yu revealing his trauma of being sexually abused by people in positions of power while simultaneously being subjected to verbal abuse, tears immediately filled my eyes.
As a man who has likewise experienced profound darkness and humiliation, I deeply understand that helpless feeling of “Why me? Why must I endure such filth?” and the resulting self-denial.
The feeling that one’s soul is covered in mud, together with the fear that one has been abandoned by the higher realm, was once a black hole in which I had nowhere to hide.
If I could, I would so dearly wish to become an older brother who could stand between him and every harm in this space, gently comforting that broken soul.
II. The Realization of Three Roles: From Confusion to Clarity
In my search for a remedy for my suffering, I tried everything I could.
Physical illness may have treatments, and I firmly believe that there must also be a way beyond the wounds suffered by the soul.
Somewhere deep within, I feel that one of the missions I carry in this lifetime is to cleanse and bring an end to the various chaotic and distorted elements of this human world, and to resolve the karmic forces accumulated throughout the universe over billions of years. I absolutely cannot allow this karma to continue drifting with the wind and take root in another physical body.
Many years ago, I repeatedly had the same dream. Sometimes I was an actor on stage; sometimes I was an audience member below the stage; and sometimes I became the director behind the scenes.
Only later did I finally understand that the continual changing of these three roles was a revelation from a higher-dimensional world:
The actor is the self immersed in the mortal world, lost in the role and unable to free oneself from it.
The audience member is the self that has stepped outside the role and calmly observes the rise and fall of destiny.
The director is the soul standing from a higher-dimensional perspective, looking down upon and seeing the entire blueprint of a life.
It turns out that the script of the human world has long been known in its entirety in the higher dimensions.
When the fog that had stretched across decades was finally illuminated by the light of wisdom, the emotions of attachment and fixation were instantly lifted away. I experienced an unprecedented sense of cleanliness and clarity.
III. Laying Down the Burden of Victimhood and Becoming a Signpost in the Night
Although this persecution is still continuing, I have learned to forgive.
As you once said, among the many roles that descend from the higher realm into the human world, not everyone receives a perfect script. Some are destined to play villains.
They are simply fulfilling what the plot requires. The core of their souls has not been lost; it has merely been temporarily obscured by the physical body and the structure of the three-dimensional world.
Perhaps all the hardships and disappointments of this lifetime arise from the consequences of roles played in previous lives, or from having unintentionally harmed others in the past—while in that lifetime, others were suffering as well.
Now that the conditions have come together and the bitter fruit has arrived, karma must be transformed according to the eternal principle of conservation of energy. Someone must bear it. So let us consider the matter settled between us.
I no longer regard myself as a victim, because at its essence, all of this is a drama.
I gradually came to understand why I was born in this country. Perhaps the universe believed that I possessed the power to heal, and entrusted me with immense trust, allowing me to personally undergo trial after trial and fully experience all kinds of suffering while everyone around me had lost their way. Only after walking through the deepest abyss myself could I truly understand and empathize with the suffering of others, and then guide those who have lost their way.
These are roles that must be experienced. Only after experiencing the many faces of life can one truly speak of healing and awakening.
Having been born here in this lifetime, I am like an anchor on a ship. And now that I have awakened, I must also become a signpost in the darkness, protecting the energy of this place.
As awakened souls from different countries and corners of the Earth intertwine across time and space, we converge into a brilliant geometric chain of stars. These rays of light will illuminate more lost lives, guiding them to follow the light and find their way out of the darkness.
Those friends who once listened to the Fa with me in the great lecture hall and practiced the exercises with me in the park may still be drifting with the waves of the mortal world.
I cannot force them to follow my path. But what I can do is become a streetlamp, a signpost.
Remain true to my original heart (and, preferably, to myself), radiate a faint light, and quietly wait for them to be drawn toward it.
In this country, countless forms of chaos are impacting hundreds of millions of souls.
How I long for them to quiet their minds and listen to the question knocking deep within their hearts:
Why did I come here?
I know that there may still be places deep within me that have not completely healed, but I long to recover as soon as possible.
Only when I have fully entered the light myself can I truly become that warm light and help redeem those who are equally lost.
For the past few years, I have kept a small goal in my heart. I will keep it secret for now. When the day comes that my wish is fulfilled, I will certainly share it with everyone.
Thank you. Although we have never met in this lifetime, I know that in the higher realm, we were once close friends who could speak openly about everything.
Thank you, my brother Xiao Yu, and thank you to all the other Xiao Yus who have walked alongside us.
Xiao Yu’s Reply
You already know about what happened to me. Regarding the matter of spiritual healing, I would like to borrow a story from Yu En, and I have obtained her permission to share it.
Yu En has had a very, very difficult life in this lifetime.
During her school years, she was bullied collectively by teachers and classmates. After entering the workforce, she was bullied by supervisors and colleagues. Her family relationships were also very difficult, causing her tremendous suffering.
One day, after being deliberately isolated by her colleagues, Yu En suddenly felt that there was no meaning in living anymore. She wanted to jump onto the train tracks and die.
Suddenly, for no apparent reason, Yu En fell asleep while sitting in the train station waiting area. She had a strange dream.
In the dream, a large group of her relatives and friends from previous lifetimes were sitting together in a circle. There were so many of them that the circle was enormous. Sitting in the central seat was the God of Destiny, whose entire body radiated light.
“Who among you is willing to become the people who will harm Yu En’s family? Please raise your hands.”
Some people did not dare to raise their hands because by doing so, and by bullying Yu En, they would have to sacrifice the virtue they had accumulated and create karma for themselves.
At that moment, however, several people raised their hands. They loved Yu En deeply and were willing to sacrifice themselves, creating karma in order to help her.
The God of Destiny told them:
“Yu En must eliminate a great deal of karma before she can become a practitioner of Falun Dafa. In your next lives, you will be responsible for harming Yu En and helping her eliminate her karma.”
Without hesitation, these relatives and friends left and went to be reincarnated.
“Which of you relatives and friends is willing to become the teachers and classmates who will bully Yu En in your next life? Please raise your hands.”
Everyone looked at Yu En with tears in their eyes. A group of people bravely raised their hands, crying as they said:
“Yu En, we love you. For your sake, we are willing to sacrifice ourselves and help you eliminate your karma in our next lives!”
Yu En embraced them and cried with them before tearfully saying goodbye.
Then the God of Destiny spoke again:
“Yu En’s relatives and friends, who is willing to become Yu En’s supervisors and colleagues in her next life?”
A group of people raised their hands. They embraced Yu En and told her that they loved her, then went to the place where they would be reincarnated.
Yu En thought the meeting was about to end. But unexpectedly, the God of Destiny spoke once again:
“Who among the remaining relatives and friends is willing to become Yu En’s enemies—that is, people who were originally her friends but became enemies because of misunderstandings?”
Several relatives and friends raised their hands. They embraced Yu En and told her that they would always love her, and that what happened in the human world would never make them eternal enemies.
Most of the relatives and friends had left.
The God of Destiny then asked:
“Who among you is willing to help Yu En, help her fulfill her destiny, support her throughout her journey in life, and remind her at critical moments?”
All the remaining relatives and friends raised their hands. One of them was Ariel.
The God of Destiny said sternly:
“You refuse to sacrifice your own virtue to help Yu En eliminate her karma. What kind of relatives and friends are you?!”
Suddenly, a golden light descended from above, and a very majestic voice rang out across the heavens:
“They have all signed an agreement with me. They have more important missions and cannot easily lose their virtue.”
The God of Destiny knew that this voice came from the higher realm, but did not know which deity it came from. He immediately said:
“Very well! All of you relatives and friends, hurry to the place of reincarnation and report for duty. Meeting adjourned!”
And so, Yu En endured countless setbacks and hardships, eliminating a great deal of karma before embarking on her path of cultivation.
Someone once told Yu En that life is like placing a cup of milk tea on a table and a metal plate on the ground.
You turn around, then turn back again, and you have already forgotten who put the milk tea and the metal plate there.
You drink the milk tea and kick the metal plate, then complain angrily about who put the metal plate there because your toe hurts terribly.
After waking from her dream, Yu En no longer wanted to jump in front of a train. She obediently went home to eliminate her karma and no longer felt hopeless.
When I heard Yu En tell me this story, I found it very interesting, so I wanted to share it with you.
Long ago, you also sacrificed yourself in this way to help my secondary spirit fulfill its purpose. That is why we remain deeply grateful to you even today. I also hope that my words and Yu En’s story can be of some help to you.
Once again, thank you for coming to leave a message on Voices from the Other Shore.
My secondary spirits and I are extremely busy because we are now in the period of the Dharma’s decline, when natural and man-made disasters continue to occur—flooding, landslides, flash floods, volcanic eruptions…
We truly do not have enough time to reply to every message left on Voices from the Other Shore. But we read every single message, and I have received all of your warmth.
Thank you, everyone, for your love, care, and blessings!
