The agent reportedly was on President Trump’s perimeter security detail.
A U.S. Secret Service agent who was allegedly engaging in some self-service at a Miami hotel found himself detained by responding sheriff’s deputies.
According to WSVN, Miami 7 News, the agent in question, age 33, “was in South Florida as part of a security perimeter screening detail at Trump National Doral for President Trump’s scheduled visit to attend the 2026 PGA Cadillac Championship.”
The off-duty incident occurred in early May but Hollywood gossip site TMZ apparently just obtained some additional bodycam footage of the police response on scene.
In the immediate aftermath of the agent being taken into custody, Real Clear Politics correspondent Susan Crabtree reported the following:
“A Secret Service Uniformed Division officer was arrested…for allegedly masturbating naked on the sixth floor of the DoubleTree hotel near the Miami airport.
“Police arrested [the suspect] shortly after midnight…after hotel security called them. The Miami Dade Sheriff’s office responded and caught him in the act, according to the arrest affidavit.
“A victim told police that she was in the lobby when [the suspect] allegedly followed her and another upstairs and immediately entered a room ‘because she was in fear for their lives.’
“’The victim saw the defendant masturbating next to their hotel room,’ according to the arrest affidavit.”
The agent faces a misdemeanor indecent exposure charge for which he has reportedly pleaded not guilty. He was released from jail on a $1,000 bond.
In interacting with cops on scene, it sounded like the agent said “I’m Secret Service,” to which a deputy replied “it sounds like you’re f—ed if you’re Secret Service.”
When deputies asked him why his pants were allegedly down, the agent seemed to reply “I had too much to drink.”
In a statement following the arrest, Richard Macauley, the chief of the Secret Service uniformed division, said that “the alleged conduct is unacceptable and stands in stark contrast to the professionalism and integrity that I demand of our personnel.”
Macauley added that the Secret Service put the Washington, D.C.-based agent on administrative leave “pending the results of this criminal matter and a complete and thorough internal investigation.”
Note: All suspects are presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty in a court of law.

In a separate, unrelated, off-duty incident in Florida as reported by [your]NEWS, a Secret Service agent was arrested in connection with an alleged fraternity hazing campaign that authorities say left a University of Miami law student with severe kidney damage and nearly cost him his life. As [your]NEWS noted, the case remains at the charging stage, and the allegations have not been proven in court.
That arrest “marks the fifth known time this year that a Secret Service agent or Uniformed Division officer has run afoul of law enforcement,” RCP’s Crabtree asserted.
