Filming Italy Venice Award: Honorees Include Orlando Bloom, Irina Shayk, and Clara McGregor

The 8th edition of the Filming Italy Venice Award took place in the prestigious Sala degli Stucchi at the Hotel Excelsior. Tiziana Rocca, the creator and founder of the event, presented awards to two leading figures of international cinema: Irina Shayk and Orlando Bloom. Rocca’s deep symbiosis with the Venice Film Festival has developed over many years through her extensive experience organizing high-profile side events on the terrace of the Venice Casino, where she hosted global icons including Woody Allen, Meryl Streep, Sylvester Stallone, and George Clooney. This passionate professional and personal bond inspired Rocca to continuously promote cinematic excellence by creating the Filming Italy Venice Award.

“It is an event that draws film enthusiasts’ attention to the artistic dimension and cultural value of cinema in all its forms,” stated Rocca. “The event also celebrates the talent, creativity, and extraordinary strength of women in the film industry. Originally created to spotlight key figures in the audiovisual field and their artistic contributions, the award has grown exponentially, establishing itself over time as one of the most anticipated and prestigious highlights of the Venice International Film Festival.”

While the Venice Film Festival serves as a global benchmark for cinematic art, Tiziana Rocca aims through the Filming Italy Venice Award to champion cinema and amplify its multifaceted scope—not only artistically, but also by highlighting its cultural breadth and elevating outstanding talent. Just as the Venice Film Festival bridges tradition and innovation, Rocca rejuvenates the Filming Italy Venice Award each year by capturing the core engine of cinema: celebrating and rediscovering the excellence that has made filmmaking a genuine international passion, all while keeping a firm spotlight on inclusion and gender equality.

“Every year, I strive to innovate,” Rocca noted. “This year at the Filming Italy Venice Award, we honored actor Orlando Bloom—a performer of extraordinary charisma capable of captivating audiences worldwide with elegance, talent, and versatility. Over the course of his career, he has brought to life iconic characters that have entered the collective imagination. Every year, I take immense pride in celebrating the artistic journeys of established talents while providing visibility to the next generation.”

Irina Shayk received the Filming Italy Venice International Award. Speaking about Shayk, Rocca remarked: “Irina perfectly embodies the ability to translate talent and personal image into a universal language, having become over the years one of the most recognizable and influential figures in contemporary fashion. Her career stands as a model of determination, professionalism, and a remarkable capacity for continuous reinvention, all while preserving a strong personal identity. She has seamlessly navigated different worlds—from fashion to film—with poise and distinct personality. She truly deserves this recognition, which continues our mission to celebrate the talent, creativity, and strength of women.”

Through the Filming Italy Venice Award, Tiziana Rocca highlights and honors works, talent, and productions distinguished by originality and artistic quality. Over the years, she has successfully established an influential platform within the audiovisual sector with a forward-looking vision focused on emerging generations and female leadership. This initiative works in synergy with other major projects created by Rocca, such as Filming Italy Sardegna and Filming Italy Los Angeles—the latter serving as a crucial bridge to showcase Italian excellence abroad.

This year, actress Clara McGregor served as ambassador for the awards ceremony, while Italian actress Letizia Arnò was named godmother (madrina) of the edition. Among this year’s other distinguished honorees were Malcolm McRae, Akinola Davies Jr., and Emmanuelle Béart.
