Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Wrapped in Daybreak Blue Pearl, the new Subaru Trailseeker’s off-road stylish appearance and functionality is ready for most everything in its path.

Subaru hopes to continue the success it’s had with its popular Outback wagon and give it an all-electric flare in this new offering, the Trailseeker.

The new electric SUV’s bold, adventurous design is rugged and boasts 8.5-inches of ground clearance and offers a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. While not physically based on the all-gas Outback, it’s been billed as the “e-Outback,” in hopes of duplicating that kind of success in an electric vehicle with a similar vibe.

Utilizing a host of Toyota-based electronics on the inside, this is sure to be a fun one.

Powered with 274 miles of electric range, this five-passenger electric SUV boasts a 74.7-kWh high-capacity lithium ion battery. Two drive-modes including Snow/Dirt and Snow/Mud were easily functional and a nice perk for the all-electric five-seater. Riding on 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, the Trailseeker is comfortable while still being purposeful.

On the interior, you’ll find a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia system with touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and cloud-based Navigation. There’s also a 12-volt DC power outlet, 10-way power seats with lumbar support options, dual wireless chargers, dual USB-C ports and over 74 cubic feet of cargo volume.

Subaru has teamed up with Toyota in the most recent decade to utilize both safety features and interior electronics. Witnessed on the Trailseeker, the infotainment and digital instrument cluster out of entry level Toyota products is a win for the brand.

Subaru has been absent from Grasso’s Garage in recent months, but it has done a good job of keeping up with other brands as things evolve and roll out. This electric five-seater SUV confirms the brand is listening to its consumer base as the use of exceptional technology and its traditional excellent reliability creates a vehicle that its audience is going to be happy about.

As the Trailseeker hits the ground running, we are excited to see how the sales numbers look this time next year.
