The Oklahoma Sooners and other teams in the SEC were paying close attention to what the court case ruling was going to be with the LSU Tigers on Thursday. The court case was in Louisiana.

Pete Thamel of espn.com reported on Thursday night

“NEWS: Injunction granted by Judge William Jorden, paving the way for NCAA and SEC eligibility for more than 40 atheltes. That group includes potential LSU transfers Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, setting up a seismic decision for LSU whether they put them on the roster, which is due tomorrow.”

Well, many Sooners fans and other SEC fans are upset about this ruling. Well, this case is going to federal court in Alabama and the SEC is suing LSU and Lane Kiffin.

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond Furious With LSU Tigers Ruling

Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond commented on his Twitter page about the court ruling. Drummond said on his Twitter page immediately after this ruling,

“This ruling from the court is a slap in the face of every college athlete, coach, and fan who has abided by the spirit and letter of league rules for many decades. I will stand with the SEC and the Oklahoma Sooners to ensure that fairness is afforded to all throughout the upcoming season. We have rules for a reason, and we all must uphold those rules – or invite anarchy to infect our ranks.”

Oklahoma finished with a 10-2 record last season. The Sooners made the college football playoffs under head coach Brent Venables, but they lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Drummond is correct about the court case ruling with LSU. Many people in the SEC are outraged by this. The Sooners and others in the SEC for now are not happy about this.
