The SEC Conference and commissioner Greg Sankey released rules about harsh penalties if any school within the conference decides to put a former NFL player onto a roster at any point. Well, Pete Thamel of espn.com reported on Thursday,
“NEWS: Injunction granted by Judge William Jorden, paving the way for NCAA and SEC eligibility for more than 40 atheltes. That group includes potential LSU transfers Dae’Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris, setting up a seismic decision for LSU whether they put them on the roster, which is due tomorrow.”

Should it be a shock that the LSU Tigers won this case in a Louisiana court? Well, this fight is far from over. Many people feel like that Lane Kiffin is risking it all just to employ these mid players on the roster. There is a reason why the SEC Conference is suing LSU, Kiffin, and others in a federal court in Alabama. This is not going to end well for the Tigers if they decide to employe them on the roster before the Clemson Tigers game this weekend.

There is no doubt that this is an all-out war between the SEC Conference and LSU. The SEC Conference released a statement and said,
“We disagree with the court’s decision, the SEC’s presidents and chancellors unanimously adopted a clear and reasonable standard: member universities should not place former professional athletes on their rosters. The conference and its member universities have the right to establish, through agreed-upon governance procedures, the rules under which they voluntarily compete and to expect those rules to be followed.
The SEC will continue to defend this standard, the principle of fair competition, and the conference’s authority to govern competition among its member universities.”
There are a lot of people who would love to see LSU kicked out of the conference entirely. It remains to be seen how foolish and the Tigers will act. Everyone in the SEC is sick of the Tigers act.
