The Miami Dolphins finished with a 7-10 record last season in the NFL. This season, Miami is going to potentially going through another painful season. The Dolphins made wholesale changes in the off-season, and the 2026 season will show that they are going through a major rebuild. They did sign quarterback Malik Willis to the roster in the off-season in free agency, but it appears as if they may not have their long-term answer at quarterback.

A lot of people have realized that the Dolphins have not looked good during the pre-season and also during joint practices as well. New head coach Jeff Hafley and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan know that this is not going to be an overnight process here.

NFL Analyst Predicts Miami Dolphins Will Land a Top Two Selection in the 2027 NFL Draft

Nick Baumgardner of the Athletic created his preseason version of the 2027 NFL Draft. He thinks that the Arizona Cardinals will have the number one overall selection in the 2027 NFL Draft. Baumgardner thinks that the Dolphins are going to have the number two overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. He thinks that Miami is going to draft quarterback Dante Moore from the Oregon Ducks.

Baumgardner said,

“If Moore can channel the calm he showed during a few of Oregon’s road wins last year (notably, at Penn State), then maybe he’ll elevate to QB1. Both Moore and Manning have similar issues to work on this season, consistent processing being among them.”

Moore decided to go back to college at Oregon after deciding to withdraw from the 2026 NFL Draft. He would have been selected number one overall by the Las Vegas Raiders or number two overall by the New York Jets. Miami having the second pick would not be surprising. However, many people feel like the Dolphins could land the number one selection in the 2027 NFL Draft here.
