The New York Giants finished with a 4-13 record last season in the NFL. New York has a chance to turn things around this season with John Harbaugh as the new head coach of this football franchise. It is all going to depend upon how often quarterback Jaxson Dart stays out of the blue medical tent. It will also depend upon the defense. They need to be a lot better than they were a season ago here.

New York has not won the NFC East title since the 2011 season where they won Super Bowl XLVI against the New England Patriots under Tom Coughlin and Eli Manning. The Giants made the playoffs in 2022 and have missed the playoffs for the last three seasons. Harbaugh is looking to install consistency into this franchise.

Bill Barnwell of espn.com listed wrote a story about a few teams who are predicted to have a better year in 2026 than they did in 2025. He thinks that the Giants are one of the teams that could no doubt take a leap forward this season under Harbaugh. Barnwell said,
“The offense is the source of a high ceiling and a low floor. Giants fans are understandably enthused about a core built around Dart, Nabers, running back Cam Skattebo and high-end left tackle Andrew Thomas. The promise of all four on the field at the same time hints at a step forward for an offense that has finished 30th or worse in scoring four times over the past six years.
The problem, of course, is counting on them to all be present at the same time. They were on the field for just 60 snaps last season. Skattebo (ankle), Nabers (knee) and Thomas (hamstring) finished the year on injured reserve, while Dart missed time because of a concussion and was repeatedly pulled out of games over concerns about his health. If they’re all healthy and live up to expectations, the Giants could take a massive leap forward on offense, which ranked 22nd in 2025. If not, the Giants might not have the depth to deal with absences, especially after they lost several free agents to Daboll’s new employers in Tennessee.”
If they were to have another 4-13 record under Harbaugh this season, then there are many things wrong within the franchise. They should win at least seven or more games this season. The Giants need to be in the wild card hunt late in the season or it will feel another lost season quickly for this franchise also.
