Seattle Thunderbirds center Brock England is projected to be one youngest players in the 2027 NHL Draft. He is only 16 years old and will not turn 17 until April 22nd of next year. It is going to be interesting to see how much England will continue to grow next season at the WHL level. During the 2025-2026 season with Seattle, he scored 21 goals and recorded 30 assists, in 64 games. His plus/minus rating is 12. In five postseason games, England scored one goal and recorded two assists, along with having a plus/minus rating of -2.

England has a chance to really prove himself as one of the top prospects in the upcoming 2027 NHL Draft. He has to have a big 2026-2027 season in the WHL with the Thunderbirds before NHL scouts take him seriously. He still has a lot of room to grow. England is 5’11” and weighs 174 lbs.

Rachel Kryshak of espn.com wrote about the potential top prospects in the upcoming 2027 NHL Draft. She mentioned about England as potentially being one of the top prospects. There is no doubt that a lot of NHL scouts are going to be keeping a close eye on him this season. Kryshak said,

“One of the most exciting players to watch in the draft class, England combines breakaway speed with great hands and a high-end release on his shot. If he’s one stride behind the defender at the red line, there’s a good chance he’s overpowering the defender for a clean-cut breakaway. He’s a smaller center, but there is no denying his offensive skill set, which combines high-end creativity with elite speed. England’s next step is to understand gear changes to take advantage of his acceleration, and if he demonstrates that, he has a real chance to be an offensive dynamo in the NHL.
One of the youngest players in the draft class (Aug. 22, 2009), England isn’t as physically mature as some counterparts, but that doesn’t stop him from engaging physically and delivering hits. The willingness to get involved physically, combined with a developing two-way game, will make England a highly sought-after talent in the upcoming draft and one of the top players in the WHL this season.”

This is going to be his third season in the WHL. Even if he were to have a great season and be one of the top picks in the NHL Draft in 2027, there is a chance that England is going to be back in Seattle with the Thunderbirds to develop his game even more for the 2027-2028 WHL season also.
