Brandy Norwood is charging full speed ahead, continuing to expand her already impressive portfolio of work. One of her upcoming projects revisits her 2025 holiday film Christmas Everyday, and just as before, her daughter Sy’rai Smith will share the screen with her, making the festive feature another family affair.

Norwood has long been recognized as a double threat, earning acclaim for both her acting and her vocal talent. Her continued pursuit of both creative avenues is nothing new. Over the past few years, however, the star has added another niche to her growing list of projects: Lifetime holiday films. With two festive features already under her belt, Norwood now has another Christmas story on the horizon.

Norwood Returns for Christmas Everyday Again

The Grammy Award-winning singer and actress is set to star in and executive produce Christmas Everyday Again (working title), a sequel to Lifetime’s 2025 holiday film Christmas Everyday. The follow-up recently completed production and is expected to be featured in Lifetime’s annual It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday programming lineup, according to Blexmedia.

Norwood will once again portray Fancy Ballantine, while Smith reprises her role as Belle. The sequel finds Fancy facing a major crossroads as she prepares for a Christmas wedding to Jaylen while simultaneously working to protect the future of her successful boutique. Along the way, Evelyn and Belle remain part of her support system.

Although the available plot details offer only a glimpse into the full narrative arc, holiday movie enthusiasts will likely recognize the familiar trajectory. Romance, family, personal ambition, and the pressures accompanying major life changes are once again poised to shape Fancy’s journey.

The connection between Norwood and Smith extends well beyond their on-screen relationship. The mother and daughter also share a passion for music, with Smith beginning to establish her own career as a recording artist. According to People, Smith released her first solo single in 2023, following years of developing her musical abilities with her mother supporting her along the way. The two previously collaborated on “High Heels,” a song featured on Norwood’s seventh studio album, B7, in 2020.

Their creative synergy is another reflection of the close relationship Norwood has long hoped to cultivate with her daughter. In a 2010 interview with Parade, later noted by People, Norwood spoke about the relationship she envisioned having with Smith as she grew older.

“At the end of the day, we’re going to be friends,” Norwood said, expressing her hope that Smith would eventually turn to her with the problems and experiences that come with adulthood.

More than a decade later, that vision appears to have taken shape in an especially meaningful way. Mother and daughter are not only maintaining their bond but are also finding opportunities to build together creatively.

Another Holiday Addition Is on the Way

While summer is still in full swing and fall has yet to arrive, it is never too early to begin curating a holiday watchlist, and Christmas Everyday Again might be something worth adding.
