TOWNSEND — The Townsend Military Band will celebrate the songs that have stood the test of time during its “Music Memories” concert on Thursday, Aug. 13, on the Townsend Common.
The free concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m., featuring a selection of familiar favorites designed to bring back fond memories for audiences of all ages.
Held in conjunction with the concert, the Townsend Fire/EMS Relief Association will host a community lawn party. Fire and EMS personnel will serve hot dogs, hamburgers, and sausages with peppers and onions, along with homemade baked goods, cold soda and bottled water, with proceeds supporting the association.
Residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music, food and community on the Common.
