The fight over women’s sports is no longer about sports. It is about truth, fairness, and whether common sense still means anything in America.

Sophie Cunningham said what millions already know. Men do not belong in women’s sports. That should not be a brave statement. It should be obvious. Yet the moment someone says it out loud, the woke mob rushes in, angry that biology will not bend to ideology.

That tells you everything. The loudest voices in sports media and in the league want applause for pretending the basics no longer matter. They want girls to compete against boys, women to share locker rooms with men, and everyone else to nod along. If you object, they call you hateful. If you defend women’s spaces, they call you a problem.

The irony is that the only reason the league is getting this much attention is that real stars have pulled people back in. Attendance is up. Viewership is up. Fans showed up for Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham because they bring skill, personality, and competition. Not slogans. Not lectures. Not activists in warm-ups.

That is why the backlash feels so desperate. The league had years to win people over. Instead, it embraced identity politics, thin skin, and public tantrums. Fans can see it. They know when they are being sold ideology instead of basketball.

Women’s sports deserve protection, not ridicule. Young girls deserve a level playing field, not a social experiment. If that offends the cultural elites, so be it. Most Americans are tired of being told that what they see with their own eyes is somehow wrong.

Sophie Cunningham said what needed saying. More people should have the courage to do the same.
