A weekend photo of Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie and Tucker Carlson, accompanied by a declaration that “the movement has come,” is fueling speculation that prominent critics of President Donald Trump are continuing discussions about forming a new political party.

Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene appeared alongside conservative commentator Tucker Carlson and Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., in a photo posted Saturday that suggested efforts to organize a new political movement outside the Republican Party may be advancing.

Greene shared the image on X with the statement that “the movement has come,” placing three figures who have broken with President Donald Trump over significant parts of his agenda together as Carlson publicly considers creating a third party.

Carlson said last month that he intended to establish a new political party, according to an interview published by the Columbia Journalism Review.

The photo Greene posted Saturday intensified speculation that those plans remain active and that Greene and Massie could be involved in the discussions.

“We said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all. Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center,” Greene wrote.

Each of the three has faced political consequences or criticism after opposing elements of Trump’s agenda.

Greene did not seek reelection this year after Trump withdrew his endorsement. Massie lost his Republican primary to a candidate supported by Trump.

Carlson, a former Fox News Channel host who remains a prominent conservative commentator, also fell out of favor with Trump, largely because of his opposition to the war with Iran.

“He’s not MAGA,” Trump has said of Carlson.

The gathering suggests that a potential third-party effort could seek support from voters who identify with an America First agenda but believe the Republican Party under Trump has abandoned promises to avoid foreign wars.

Neither Greene, Massie nor Carlson announced a formal party organization, platform or launch date in connection with the photo. The post nevertheless indicated that conversations about a separate political movement are continuing among Republicans and conservative figures increasingly estranged from Trump.
