The Senate Judiciary Committee will consider Todd Blanche’s nomination for attorney general Tuesday after Republican concerns delayed the previously scheduled vote.

The Senate Judiciary Committee has rescheduled its vote on Todd Blanche’s nomination for attorney general after objections from two Republican senators prompted a postponement earlier this week.
The committee will now vote on the nomination at 9 a.m. Tuesday.
Republican Sens. Thom Tillis of North Carolina and John Cornyn of Texas raised concerns that led the panel to delay its initial consideration of Blanche’s nomination.
The new schedule gives committee members additional time to address those concerns before deciding whether to advance Blanche’s nomination to the full Senate.
