On several occasions, when I was struggling with a question in cultivation or facing a difficult situation in life, I opened the book—not searching for a particular passage—and it naturally opened to words that spoke directly to what I needed at that moment. The guidance was so timely and so precise that it left a lasting impression on me.
I wasn't trying to test the book or look for something extraordinary. It simply happened, more than once.
Science can help explain why printed books may improve memory, comprehension, and attention. My own experience points to something different—something that cannot be measured in a laboratory.
