Bowman Gray Stadium will add another chapter to its long history on Friday, Aug. 21, when it hosts the Kyle Busch Invitational, the first event of its kind at the quarter‑mile track and one built to honor Busch’s impact on the sport. The night will feature Legends and Bandolero competition, with all proceeds directed to The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund.

The event will be shown live on FloSports and the NASCAR Channel. The entry list will feature up to 51 Legend Cars and 18 Bandoleros, turning the tight oval into a crowded, high‑pressure environment where track position will matter from the opening laps. The field will be built from the 2026 Summer Shootout standings.

With the top five in Pro, Semi‑Pro, Masters, and Young Lions securing spots, plus any A‑Main winners in those divisions who didn’t end the season inside the top five. The significance of the event extends beyond racing. The Legend Car played a meaningful role in Busch’s early development, long before he became one of the most accomplished drivers of his era.

Honoring that path at Bowman Gray, a track known for its tight quarters, loyal fanbase, and decades‑deep tradition, adds weight to the night. It also highlights the work he and Samantha have done through The Bundle of Joy Fund, which has provided financial assistance for fertility treatments since 2015 and helped families pursue parenthood through grants inspired by their own journey.

Fans will have a full schedule to work with. Gates open at 2 p.m., followed by practice and qualifying through 4:30.Racing begins at 5 p.m. with five 10‑lap Legends heat races, then two 15‑lap B‑Mains, before the Bandolero and Legends features close the program. Bowman Gray is also offering a two‑day ticket option that includes Friday’s Invitational and Saturday’s Weekly Racing Series Championship, the AGSouth Farm Credit 150.

Single‑day tickets can be picked up at the gate or through the TicketHoss App, while the two‑day option is available online. The Kyle Busch Invitational gives fans a chance to support a cause that has already made a real impact, and to do so at a track where tight racing, community ties, and long‑standing tradition have always aligned.
