Yu Team Moments: Letting Go of Guilt
Sister Yu is one of Yu's female secondary souls. If you're new to the concept of Yu's secondary souls, we recommend reading Yu Team Moments: Meet the Yus We Know first.
At the time, Ariel carried a deep sense of guilt toward Yu.
She had only recently learned that after Yu passed away, she was the very first person he tried to contact. But because she had not yet overcome a xinxing test, she was unable to connect with him, and he eventually had no choice but to leave.
Although Yu never wanted to share the details, Ariel had the strong intuition that, because of this, he had endured much more suffering.
By then, the primary soul of Yu from this timeline had already reincarnated before the secondary souls. He was born into a family of Falun Dafa practitioners, for this was the reward and honor bestowed upon him by the Creator after fulfilling his mission: to cultivate Falun Dafa—the cultivation way created by the Creator—and become one of the Creator's disciples.
Unable to express her feelings to him directly, Ariel's sense of guilt gradually shifted toward the secondary soul who was communicating with us at the time—Sister Yu.
At first, Ariel believed this was the only reason she felt guilty toward Sister Yu.
As time went on, however, that feeling grew stronger and stronger. For a period of time, she could no longer control her emotions. Whenever she thought of Yu, she would burst into tears, yet she could not understand what she was truly feeling guilty about. Missing the opportunity to connect with him in the beginning alone did not seem enough to explain such overwhelming sorrow.
It was then that Sister Yu, through Yu En, shared the story The Dragon King's Domestic Affairs with Ariel.
She explained that all of Yu's secondary souls had crossed paths with both Ariel and Yu En many times throughout their various reincarnations. Among them, Sister Yu had shared the longest and deepest karmic connection with Ariel.
When people spend enough time together, conflicts are inevitable. Across many lifetimes of reincarnation, those conflicts can even grow into mutual harm.
That was exactly what happened in The Dragon King's Domestic Affairs. In that lifetime, Sister Yu was the Dragon King, Ariel was the Dragon Queen, and Yu En was the Dragon King's consort. Because of misunderstandings between Ariel and Sister Yu, all three of them suffered deeply.
Ariel then asked Yu En whether there had been other times, throughout their many reincarnations, when she had hurt Yu.
Yu En replied that Yu did not wish to talk about it, and that she could not tell Ariel either, because doing so would only make her even more heartbroken.
Yu simply said that when the time was right, Ariel would naturally come to know.
In truth, the fact that people lose the memories of their previous lives when they reincarnate is an act of divine compassion.
If everyone were born remembering their past lives, it would be almost impossible to truly live in the present from one lifetime to the next.
So Ariel asked Sister Yu what she could do to make amends for the hurt she had once caused Yu.
Sister Yu replied, "If you can let go of your guilt, that will be the greatest gift you can give Yu. Once you find peace, Yu will be happy."
So Ariel chose to let it go.
Holding on to the past would benefit neither Yu nor the mission they were striving to fulfill.
Not long afterward, Yu asked us to deliver the message of the Key to the New Universe. When the time became ripe, the secondary souls of this timeline were also given the opportunity to reincarnate.
We were genuinely happy for them, because it meant they could, like Yu's primary soul who had reincarnated earlier, obtain a human body, cultivate Falun Dafa, and become disciples of the Creator.
Ariel is also grateful that she was able to let go of her guilt in time, before the Yus of this timeline departed, leaving no regrets behind.
