No. 1 Jannik Sinner won his second straight Wimbledon men’s singles championship on Sunday afternoon, defeating No. 2 Alexander Zverev 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 and 6-4 at the All England Club’s Central Court.

“There’s no better place to play tennis,” Sinner said during the Wimbledon trophy ceremony.

His victory comes one year since he defeated Carlos Alcaraz in last year’s final and one day after Linda Noskova beat Karolina Muchova in the Wimbledon women’s singles championship.

The victory marked Sinner’s 10th straight victory against Zverev.

Winning here marks greatness. Defence leaves no doubt.
