Ukraine said Friday that its drone forces struck 13 Russian vessels in the Sea of Azov, including 10 tankers, as Kyiv continues a campaign aimed at disrupting fuel supplies used by Moscow’s troops.
Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s drone forces, announced the strikes on Telegram. He said the targets also included a dry cargo ship and a ferry.
The reported attack comes as Ukraine has sought to create fuel shortages affecting Russian forces. Tankers were the largest group of vessels hit in the operation, according to Brovdi’s account.
Brovdi also said Ukrainian forces struck five power substations overnight in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Ukraine did not provide additional details in the supplied information about the extent of damage to the vessels or substations.
