Music icon Taylor Swift and NFL superstar Travis Kelce have officially begun a new chapter in their lives, with the high-profile couple exchanging vows in a lavish wedding ceremony in New York City. The ceremony, which quickly became one of the most talked-about celebrity events of the year, was officiated by actor and comedian Adam Sandler, according to a representative for Swift who confirmed the news to ABC News on Friday.

The intimate yet glamorous ceremony brought together family, close friends, and an impressive list of celebrity guests as Swift and Kelce celebrated their marriage during a two-day wedding extravaganza at Madison Square Garden.

Family members played important roles during the ceremony. Taylor’s brother, Austin Swift, stood beside his sister as her “man of honor,” while Travis’ older brother, former NFL star Jason Kelce, served as the groom’s best man. According to Swift’s representative, they were the only members of the official wedding party, emphasizing the couple’s desire to keep the ceremony centered on their closest loved ones.

Both the bride and groom wore custom-designed Dior ensembles created especially for the occasion. Swift stunned in a breathtaking haute couture wedding gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, while Kelce complemented the elegant theme in a tailored Dior suit.

Although anticipation surrounding the wedding has been immense, the newlyweds have not yet released any official wedding photographs. Fans gathered outside Madison Square Garden during the celebrations, where a giant digital display lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED!”—a playful tribute to the couple using their initials, “T&T.” The sign quickly became a popular backdrop for fans celebrating the newlyweds from outside the venue.

The wedding celebrations reportedly welcomed more than 1,000 guests over two days, making it one of the largest celebrity weddings in recent memory.

Numerous stars from the worlds of entertainment, sports, and music were seen arriving at Madison Square Garden dressed in formal black-tie attire. Among those photographed entering the venue were actors Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, and Jason Sudeikis, singer Benson Boone, soccer legend Abby Wambach, and NFL players Chris Jones and Cooper Kupp.

Sources familiar with the event told ABC News that the festivities began Thursday evening with a smaller, more intimate gathering attended by approximately 100 close friends and family members. A black SUV with heavily tinted windows, believed to be carrying Swift, was photographed arriving at Madison Square Garden shortly before the private celebration began.

Security surrounding both events was exceptionally tight. According to sources, everyone attending—including guests, vendors, production staff, and security personnel—was required to follow a strict no-phone policy designed to ensure the couple’s privacy and prevent photos or videos from being leaked before the official announcement.

Representatives for either Swift or Kelce declined to provide additional details regarding the wedding festivities.

Adding to the significance of the week, Swift’s representative confirmed just hours before the celebrations began that the couple had donated $26 million to charities serving New York City and communities across the United States, continuing their long-standing commitment to philanthropy.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement last August through a heartfelt social media post featuring photographs of Kelce’s romantic flower-filled proposal. The announcement also showcased Swift’s stunning old-mine brilliant-cut diamond engagement ring, which was custom-designed by Kelce in collaboration with New York jeweler Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry.

The couple’s love story first captured public attention in the summer of 2023 after Kelce shared on his “New Heights” podcast that he had unsuccessfully tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet containing his phone number while attending one of her Eras Tour concerts.

Swift later revealed that she found the gesture “metal as hell,” and the pair quietly began spending time together before their relationship became public.

By November 2023, Kelce openly confirmed their romance during an interview with WSJ. Magazine, praising Swift’s grace under intense public attention and expressing admiration for how she handled worldwide fame.

The following month, during her TIME Person of the Year interview, Swift explained that the couple had intentionally kept the early stages of their relationship private, allowing them to build a strong foundation away from the spotlight.

“We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other,” Swift said at the time.

Throughout their relationship, Swift and Kelce have become known for publicly supporting one another’s careers. Swift frequently attended Kansas City Chiefs games, including Super Bowl LVIII and Super Bowl LIX, while Kelce traveled around the world to support Swift during multiple stops on her record-breaking Eras Tour. One of the couple’s most memorable public moments came in June 2024, when Kelce made a surprise appearance onstage during Swift’s London performance, delighting thousands of fans.

Their wedding marks the latest milestone in a relationship that has captivated fans across music and sports, bringing together two of the world’s biggest stars in a celebration that reflects both their enduring romance and their shared journey over the past several years.
