Behind him, Marcus Armstrong in the No. 66 Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian Honda continued his impressive weekend. After topping Practice #1 while battling the flu, the Meyer Shank Racing driver backed it up with the 2nd‑fastest time, reinforcing MSR’s strong baseline setup.

Scott McLaughlin in the No. 3 XPEL Team Penske Chevrolet placed 3rd, giving Team Penske a much‑needed boost after a quiet opening session, while teammate David Malukas in the No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet followed closely in 4th, marking one of his best practice showings of the season.

Rookie Caio Collet in the No. 4 Combitrans Amazonia Chevrolet despite nursing fractured ribs suffered in a late crash during the Indianapolis 500 in May once again impressed, finishing 5th and continues to outperform several veterans. Current Championship Points leader Alex Palou in the No. 10 DHL Chip Ganassi Racing Honda slotted into 6th, keeping himself well within the competitive window heading into qualifying. Palou is the reigning winner of this race and is seeking his record-setting 4th win at Road America.

The session was interrupted twice: first when Will Power in the No. 26 TWG Honda of Andretti Global ran off into the grass, and later Louis Foster in the No. 45 Droplight Honda of Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing stopped on track with a mechanical issue. Both incidents brought out red flags but caused no significant damage.

With the top 15 cars separated by less than a second, the stage is set for a fiercely competitive qualifying session at one of IndyCar’s most demanding circuits.
