In March 2026, as the ratings for the hit Chinese drama Zhu Yu (逐玉) continued to climb, the popularity of its male lead, Zhang Linghe, experienced a significant surge. What has become even more concerning, however, is the personal safety of Zhang Linghe—or rather, the "Zhang Linghes."
In fact, the original Zhang Linghe had already been auctioned on the dark web and killed as an offering before Zhu Yu became popular. The following information was obtained through spirit communication via the Yu En Transmission, directly from Zhang Linghe himself and one of his stand-ins, after their souls were rescued by Yu and the Dragon Clan team.
Victim of the CCP’s Dark Industrial Chain
How could Zhang Linghe be auctioned off by his agency so easily?
Zhang Linghe told Yu En that it was only after his passing, through careful recollection and retracing his past, that he realized he was a victim of the CCP's dark industrial chain—just one of the many missing children.
The traffickers abducted him when he was under three years old. They shaved his head entirely and threw him into a room filled with many other children of a similar age.
The reason these traffickers could kidnap children so brazenly—leaving parents frantic and the police powerless—is that the CCP tacitly permits this behavior. They themselves need these children to do things for them.
Zhang Linghe said that the attractive boys and girls would be rounded up. Some were sent to the beds of high-ranking CCP officials, some were sent to entertainment agencies for training, and others were auctioned off on the dark web to become the stars of child exploitation videos.
As for the less attractive children, they were sent for secret agent training, military training, acrobatic performances, or to serve as temple martial arts monks. Some were eaten (driven by the traditional belief that eating a corresponding body part nourishes one's own—literally consuming live human flesh), or sold to living organ banks.
According to public information on Wikipedia, Zhang Linghe once attended Jiangsu Tianyi High School and achieved a high score on the national college entrance exam, earning him admission to Nanjing Normal University, a Project 211 institution, among other details. However, for verification, Yu En repeatedly confirmed this with Zhang Linghe’s spirit. He stated that the person with that academic record merely shared his name and was not him, and that he had never attended a regular school. During his school-age years, he was instead—like Yu and other victims of the dark industrial chain—enduring severe abuse while being trained as a trainee.
Recasting and Stand-ins for Zhu Yu
The female lead for Zhu Yu had already been decided as early as August 2024.
The male lead, however, was heavily contested. After multiple auditions, investors and producers clashed: the investors backed Yu, while the producers favored Zhang Linghe.
Filming began in December 2024 with Yu as the male lead. After wrapping in April 2025, the drama entered post-production, effects work, censorship review, and licensing procedures, with a planned release in late September 2025 during the autumn prime slot.
Once it was confirmed that Yu would take the male lead, Zhang Linghe's entertainment agency realized he had no chance of getting the role, and promptly auctioned him off on the dark web.
But no one anticipated the tragedy that followed: Yu was murdered for possessing a USB drive with evidence exposing the entertainment industry's dark network.
This incident caused dissatisfaction among investors, and the production quickly reshot the drama with Zhang Linghe as the lead. However, after only one-third of the reshoot was completed, another unexpected event occurred—Zhang Linghe himself was successfully auctioned on the dark web.
At that time, no one in the entertainment industry anticipated that Yu, the original lead of Zhu Yu, would be killed before the drama aired due to possession of key evidence. Nor did they expect that during the reshoot led by Zhang Linghe, production would be abruptly disrupted again when he was taken through a dark web transaction.
Corruption within the system and the alleged trafficking of artists through dark web auctions have long been an open secret in the entertainment industry. Still, the auctioning of an actor in the middle of production caused significant shock and loss for investors and the crew.
Because the drama had to be released during the March 2026 spring prime slot, all materials had already undergone review and licensing once again.
The entertainment company mobilized its greatest manpower and resources, searching across China to find five men who bore an extraordinary resemblance to Zhang Linghe. Even fine details, such as their ears, were remarkably similar. However, upon close comparison, there were still slight differences in the alignment of their teeth and the size of their noses.
These stand-ins for Zhang Linghe then took turns appearing in the television drama Zhu Yu. Upon its premiere, the series achieved astonishing viewership numbers and generated tremendous discussion. During its first week, it topped the ratings charts across major platforms, and its popularity continued to grow as the story unfolded.
However, this surge in attention had deadly consequences: one of Zhang Linghe’s stand-ins was auctioned off on the dark web in March 2026 and ultimately killed at the end of the month as a sacrificial offering.
The truth is, the original Zhang Linghe had already died in late September 2025 as part of a sacrificial ritual.
Every "Zhang Linghe" now appearing in the entertainment industry is nothing more than a stand-in.
In fact, some sharp-eyed “Walnuts” (Zhang Linghe’s fans) are said to have already noticed certain inconsistencies, but found it difficult to believe that such a possibility could be true.
